Thanks, Ill give them a call, evidently they still have this issue, probably fixed it for a bit and then right back to crap. Ive been on them everyday, also getting the BBB involved to hopefully save other people the headache, thier customer support is horrendous. I'll definitely do everything on my power to make sure as many people as possible know this and do not use theese idiots. I was excited about this at first but knowing what crap they are (because of them hiring untrained foreigners) is the issue.

Thier customer support is worthless, they never respond and when they do they have no clue what is going on, its so bad that when there is a problem you are at thier mercy...once they have your money they dont care one bit... never use them and go buy local for the little bit of savings..its worth it, Im going everywhere online and sharing my horrid experience.

What a s#!% show, still waiting on my MCO, I've had my scoot for 4 weeks now , over 7 days ago I got an email after dozens of attempts for theese stupid morons to get back to me, they say it was already in the mail on the 2nd of august, that thing should be here by now, it does not take that long for mail to go coast to coast, anyone else have theese problems? I expected better from the reviews....live and learn, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEESE JERKS!!! I need my MCO so I can register it, I read somewhere else that someone waited 8 weeks for theese jerks to send the MCO. When I requested my paperwork I gave instructions to expedite it to me like stated thau will do for 10.00 on thier site and they FAILED. I'm beyond mad, PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND BUY ELSEWHERE!! SCOOTERMADNESS, YOU ARE THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.
Well I needed to vent. Hopefully one of the morons from them will see this. Something needs to be done..there is NO excuse for this, I do not care what happened. If it truly was in the mail it would be here by now. The only thing that is going to help me is my MCO. BOYCOTT THIS DUMP!!

Picking up the scoot on Saturday, going to make a choice on model when I get there, Ill post up wbat I get, picking it up in the crate. If anyone needs the size of the crate its 67"x 23"x 35" inches. Was hard to find anywhere so I called my local dealer. Would rather do the PDI myself as there are a few things I want to check before start up. Gonna double check valve lash and get the shipping oil out immediately, will be using my go-to oil: Brad Penn racing oil 10w40....lots of zinc Ive used it on all my rave vehicles as well as everyday drivers. Thanks everyone..talk soon!

New nuts, gasket and red locktite, maybe even some lock washers. Dont over tighten the nuts..about 1/4 turn past snug. Dont over do it with the locktite either, a couple drops should do it.

Thanks Greg, I have done extensive research, (probably too much) I've decided on the cy50a, or the thunder depending on the sale price when I get to the local dealer. Plans are to keep it bone stock, other than painting the wheels and maybe add some steobe lights and neon just for the hell of it. I will post a review of what I get mext weekend.

If you want to buy a TaoTao 50 check out the Thunder. It seems to have the features I felt are important like dual rear shocks, 12” wheels and fairly large under seat storage. The glove compartment area has no cover but does it matter? If you do buy a China scoot do the PDI and take your time. When you see something not quite right, fix it or it will bite your arse later. Get a digital multimeter, Amazon, Sears(?) for about $20 and get familiar with it. I think this forum has PDI info in the Tech section, if not just google for it. YouTube has many, many videos on the care & feeding of these QMB scoots. If you do get a 50cc outfit check out 49ccscoot.com. It's dedicated to the 49-50cc scooter rider (you won't get hassled for riding a 50). BTW I'm planning to buy a Thunder myself soon. Good luck, Greg Not going with the evo...a 150 size scoot with a 50 cc, doesnt seem good to me. Probably going with the cy50a, repairing a little scooter is no problem for me,I mean I work on Cadillacs all day at a dealer, I have more electrical experience than you would care to know..lol, just wanted some input on owners of wither models, Thanks

Ok first off Im new here. So hello everyone!! Ill keep this short and sweet, Im looking at buying a TaoTao scooter, This is all I want to afford, anyway, if anyone has any input on what might be a better choice of the Evo50 or the Cy50a, I see the Cy50a is very popular..but I do like the Evo50 look and (for what its worth) certian quality of the options. Just wonder what peoples experience of either is. I know. They are Chinese so yea...but is it really worth the extra 100 or so bucks for the Evo? As far as maintenance and repair goes...Im pretty sure if im an ASE certified tech, I can repair anything on them, but if one breaks xown more than another I would like to avoid it obviously just wondering ewhat is better. The Evo50 is still relatively new compared to the Cy50a...so are there still bugs needing work before the quality (I say that lightly)improoves?
Any input wpuld be great as I cannot find an honest review on either... thanks in advance!!!
