Speedracer, I got a couple of 100 rat holed and I'll even come and get it. Do me a favor, next time you have the plastics off, take a pic and show me witch vacuum port on the carb you used.

Gas shortage of 1972, now that was a scare. No one was suposed to have any gas from where I was woking just west of Chicago, Il. to my home here in Ind. Pulling a 38 ft 5th wheel down I-57, meeting a strong head wind from the south, I could only hit a top speed of 45 mph. Sucking up the gas, I didn't know if I would get home or even get to the next station that had gas. I did hit a couple of stations that would only give me 10 gallons and that was it. I can't remember what the price of a gallon was then but it did go up a bit. I did make it home late that evening as I stopped in Champain, Ill. and let the winds die down so that I would get better gas mileage.
I believe that is when they made the speed limit 55 mph for a while. ? is, How many miles per gallon would you save driving 55 mph rather than 65 mph using your TRUCK, CAR, OR SCOOTER.
I am going to test my vehicles and let you know the results.

I feel your pain guys and gals. I have 2-3 inches of ice underneath 5 inches of snow. A couple of days ago I was right in the middle of that Ice Storm you saw on the tube. Some storm that was. I didn't lose my power but a few towns around me had lights out for several hours.
Today we were only suposed to get a dusting of snow but we ended up with 5 inches. Now I need to know if some of you have any " CHEESE AND CRACKERS WITH THAT WINE "? Get over it, It's winter damn it, won't be over until the end of March or April............LOL'S Oh ! by the way, if you got cheese and crackers, I might scoot over and bring my own wine........

You folks on the east coast, sorry to here the bad weather. There has been more snow here but the wind has been quiet witch means the roads haven't drifted shut. Got 4 more inches of the white stuff and it was dry. Lots of kids sleding on the hills. Ice on the ponds is 8 inches thick and is great for ice fishing and skating.
Now for the best part. That groundhog ( Phill ) had better come out with a great smile on his face and tell us that winter is over or I'm going to make another trip to PA.( Cross hair time). I saw where JR asked if someone sent a piggy (groundhog) down there for a joke. Well, I'll tell ya! Joke or not, I'm getting tired of pushing snow off my 48 by 60 foot drive . Had to do it twice in one day and it wore me out. I guess that nut gut was rite. The spoon means lots of SNOWWWWWWW. All take care and stay warm, it's a matter of life.

Went to start the Jimmy this morning and the temp was +3 deg. Colderrrr than a witches tit at 50,000 ft. I used the remote to unlock the door and I thought I herd the click but I wasn't sure. I tried to open the door by the handle but the door wouldn't budge. Pushed the remote again, herd the click, door still wouldn't open. Went to the passenger side and tried to open the door and it wouldn't open either. I tried the 2 back doors but got the same results. By this time , my hands and my ears were getting the bite. Only 1 thing to do, try the back hatch. Wala, the hatch came open with a little persuasion but I got in and started the vehicle. I also pushed out the front doors from the inside.
Anyway , it's -4 right now on my thermometer and I'm going to bed. My blankie is turned on at 4. Nice and toasty!!!

Just measured 4 inches of white stuff in my yard and it's still coming down. I'm really getting tired of moving snow off the driveway. Tonight the temp is going around 6 degrees according to the hippy-dippy weather man.
I just received my 1st garden book and now I'm thinking "SPRING". I know it's early but Momma says we need a big garden this year to set off the prices at the grocery store. Wow, the prices are going up even more.

Alley, either your another year older than you thought or your birth certificate needs to be looked at..
Wow, I didn't know that this would cause such an uproar but then again this might help some.
