I just thought this would be a little interesting for all. This year, we will experience 4 unusual dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11 and of course 11/11/11. Now go and figure this out....... Take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and the answer will equal to 111 ..

At 11:59 pm 12/31/2010, I was on my scoot waiting for the new year to come in. As my cell phone turned to 12:00, Eastern Time, I turned the throttle and headed down the road to make a 2 mile run to bring in the new year on the scoot. 01/01/2011 It was a very cold 2 miles. The temp was 21 degrees and I took the ride hitting a top speed of 40 miles an hour. Too cold to go any faster. So , I want to say Happy New Year to all my scooter friends and best wishes to you. Now as I look at the weather map, I see it as where the people here on the form live. Ally, northwest. o JR, southwest. CC, strait east. Wolfhound, southeast. Madcollie, Northeast. For those of you that are getting the lake effect snows, I'm sorry, you guys have to do all that shoveling. CC, that's not fair, you have a snow blower. Hey, How about some pictures of the snows of 2010. I think "LUKE" would enjoy looking at a White Christmas. Got any ?

P.J. I thought of the same thing as we have at least 6 in. of the white stuff. 1st, I think a guy needs a small rear tire that you could add a chain for traction. Maybe a set of skies on the rear to keep the scoot from going side to side. Now, at least 1 ski on the front to guide the scoot. This one could replace the front wheel. The front ski has to have a cutting rail underneath for the turning. YEP! I think it can be done with a little help from a welder...

We're supposed to get clobbered about midnight. Going from rain, to freezing rain, to snow with wind. Can't wait. Just got in from starting my generator to see if it will run ok. I'm pretty well self sufficient with just a little generator. It's loud but it does the job. When I fill the gas tank, it will only run for about 2 1/2 hours. I need to figure out how to get a bigger gas tank hook up. I hook up the well with one line and then I run another into the house for a circulating pump for the heat and another for the refrigerator.

In a year or so, I'm going to look for a place in the south so I can enjoy the winters for 6 months. I have a cousin in Phoenix, and I'm going to check it out. Then, I'm going to check out a place in the north for the summer. Minnesota, or U.P. Michigan.

Sorry about your weather MC & CC. We ended up with only 5-6 inches of the white stuff but that's too much. I see that you guys are getting the lake effects, that must be a bummer. One thing though, It's not ice !!! And what did the persimmon seeds say?

Now tell me how you get a gauge in there to check the settings. Do they make a gauge that is bent to set the valve "INTAKE'' ? I did cut the bottom of the battery compartment out , but still there doesn't look like there is enough room to set the valves.....

Now put that Tyvek suit over the garments you have on and you can ride around the world. Get the one with a hood, it will zip up to your chin. Yep that's it. Like I said, I have used these suits for hunting and they are great. I have laid in snow at very low temps to hunt geese and deer and I haven't got cold or wet. For that kind of money you can't go wrong.......

Luke, Try one of those suits. You'll like it. What makes it cold is the wind, just as the wind chill factor. If you can break the wind, you'll be warmer. No pun intended ...
