Yes , I can understand the leathers but I think I have come up with something as good. It's called Tyvek suits, I think that's how it's spelled. Google it, or yahoo it........... Anyway, this suit is worn in different situations, chemicals, paints, sprays, etc. They use them at my work basically for the chemicals. They zip up the front and are bulky. I've worn a pair over coveralls, but I had to get a xxx size so that they would fit. They are rain proof so that would mean they should be wind proof also. I have worn this suit hunting in some deep snow and in the teens so I know what it will do. They also come with a hood like the one I have. The cost is pretty reasonable, 4-6 dollars for a suit isn't too bad... Last night it snowed here, about 6 inches so I guess the scoot ridding is off for awhile.

I went to the city the other day, ( 450 people ) 33 degrees and I saw a guy leaving a spirit store. I saw a scoot as I was walking in and a man got up and starting putting on clothes over clothes. Now I had to see this: this guy walks out to his scoot and starts it up, gets on it, throws a blanket over him and the scoot and takes off. Wow ! if the blanket gets caught in the tire , he's a downer for sure. As I walked back into the spirit shop a guy in there said that the scoot is his only transportation, he doesn't have a car or truck just the scooter and he lives about 16 miles from here. I wish this guy well and I must say he has balls, frozen balls..................LOL's ;D

I was having problems also. Did my valves and now we're running fine. My exhaust was closed at top dead center. Couldn't stick the feeler gauge in it at all.

Bad Carb???

If I remember correctly, there was one port on the carb that a vacuum line connects to and it is at an angle. I had to cut the vacuum hose at an angle so it would fit correctly. ( A possible air leak )

Got your new carb yet? Try removing your choke and replacing it with the new one. I think Ally had a thread that shows how a choke works. Try that...

USMARINE 112 Let me ask you a couple of ?'s There is a hose coming from the carb bowl down to the bottom of your scoot. You can't see the screw but it's there. Get a screw driver and make sure it's tight. If it is loose, it will suck air up into the carb and screw up the mixture and therefore bogg. The only reason my scoot bogged was, the needle stuck in the carb. Scoot would idle fine but give it throdle and it would bogg and wouldn't go. Are you running " Wide Open Throddle"? If so, tap on the round cover and see if that helps any . ( not to hard, the cover will dent) These are just a few ideas to try.

I've got to tell you this story that is true. A couple of years ago, I needed a break from the everyday rat race. So, I told the wife to pack her bags, we were going to visit the folks in North Fort Myers, Fl. The visit was going great so I offered to take them to dinner. We left in the early afternoon visited a few friends and my mother said that we should go, she was getting hungry. We ended up at a nice restaurant and ate at 4:15. Now let me ask some of you, Why do people in their mid 80's eat so early? Anyway, My dad was driving north on Rt. 2 out of F.M. and he was doing around 35 mph in a 45 mph speed zone. Double yellow lines in the middle and we had about 3 miles to go. Now this was the 5:30 traffic and it was backed as far as I could see in the mirror. The traffic behind us we're honking and honking. My mother said to my dad, " Don't you here the cars behind us honking"? Of course he said " What"? (Can't here either). Finally, our turn off was near and as we were turning, cars were honking and giving us the finger, the fist, and the up yours salute. Wouldn't you know it, my dad ask my mom, " Do we know those people, their waving at us". ( I busted out laughing.)

Hold the phone CC. Not all Yanks have the scoot in the garage just yet. It's been 70 + degrees here in Indiana and I'm ridding my scoot until it sleets. I mean it's been great ridding weather. Tomorrow, I just might take a covered bridge ride and maybe some pics. That would be a nice ride. We haven't had any rain here for a long time and things are really dry. If your walking through the woods, it sounds like your walking on rice crispies. Very loud... No Luke, Needle pointing. It's the fad........LOL'S

As I had to go to town just after dark, I thought I would ride the scoot and charge the battery up a little. I was about a mile from home, a deer ran out in front me from a yard. Crap that was close, I mean close to the front wheel !!!! I could count the hair on the eyelashes. I actually locked up the breaks and heard them squeal. Everything is OK!
