Thanks for the reply Rich. Nope, not a P.A.I.R. system evidently. only one hose to the head area and that is to the valve cover. I'm going to start on this with the hoses hooked up as they are now,, less the air box. Different air filter and a vacuum fitting on the air filter to carb hose adapter(originally it was on the air box to carb). Re jet and see what happens. Probably a lot of re jet and carb adjusting..  I ordered my parts from Scrappy Dog. Good price and fast shipping !! |

While I'm waiting for the parts to modify my air box,,,What is the purpose of the small box on the side of the air box with the 2-3 hoses on it. The hoses go to the PCV valve, valve cover and to the air box to carb juction. Is it a Vacuum connection point ?.
All that is in the goofy thing is a small piece of foam rubber (filter) ?. I'm assuming the vacuum is created at the intake of the Carb (air side) ?.

HA !!, I got it now.. I thought the Radiator hose was to go on the filter intake side of the carb..,, can't imagine anyone putting that hose were he did. That carb will be sucking tar shortly....Canadian Winters , lack of sun light ?..

Hey Bashan,, It looks like we are both pointed in the same direction..Remove Air Box, Replace filter, modify intake,, re jet..
%&*!#^Air Filter #$%%&^ my recent posting and grumbling..

mt,, He isn't talking about a fuel line, It's the air intake to the carb.. In fact Bashan and I may be on the same frequency here. I'm looking at something like that for my intake hose...
