Chain is a DID Xchain. Got it on this afternoon and then the rain started. Garage is too warm to work in when he door is closed. Tomorrow it's tighten it up and get it square. I'm sure some choice words will be flowing tomorrow in Plantation, FL.

Okay I got the new chain cut and fitted but I screwed up the rivet on the link. Waiting for a new link one that clips on.

Sprockets look good and does too. I went to Cycle Gear for a chain guy aid my chain looked good why replace? I told him about the streaching. Too bad he didn't have the size I needed. Yahama wouldn't return my calls I guess I'll have to order online. Went in Saturday and guess what they had 2 on the shelf. Both of them had been there when I was in the other day. Tuesday I'll try to get it back on the road. |

Son and his partner gave me a new Ipad 4g plus he picked up the tab for every meal we had. He also gave me money to play with at the casino last night. Wife got me a Samsung active speaker system for the TV.
BEST birthday I have ever had.
Picked up a new chain yesterday. Tuesday I hope to get the grey monster back on the road. Wish me luck.
Plus sold a Colt full size pistol and purchased a Colt compact New Agent and sold a High Std 45 compact ACP pistol. 1 wild weekend.

I will be 70 this weekend normally birthdays are not a big thing with my wife and I but 70 is a BIG one to me.
For the past few weeks the wife has been saying she has big plans this weekend. She took today and Monday off. Last night after work she went to an Italian place and got an assortment of food. When she got home I told her it was a lot of food she said tomorrow we go for breakfast then lunch at home so we'll finish what's left and have dinner out at one of the restaurants she had picked for the weekend. All week long she has been saying there is a package coming please do not open it just put it in the spare bedroom. As we were eating last night I mentioned I'd never seen a package. She said when we got done she'd call our son and see how he shipped it and tell him to put a trace on it. Just then her cell phone rings and it's our son she proceeded to tell him the package had not arrived as she was talking there is someone at the front door she says it must be the package. She sends me to the door since she is talking to our son. I open the door and there stands our son. Son lives in Calf.
The 2 of them have been planning this weekend since January. I never had a clue he was coming. The 2 of them did a great job hiding it. She even made sure she didn't tell anyone who might post something on Facebook.

I was in a Cycle Gear shop Monday morning. I walked in on the end of a conversation a woman was having with the staff. She was telling them that her husband had died when a women turned left into him. She said she had to come to the store for some closure. I didn't get the whole conversation but she did say he had 196 on his helmet signifying that he had gone that fast on his bike. She looked to be in her late 50's.
She made it sound like it was the woman's fault for the accident and that her husband wasn't speeding. I don't know why she told them about the 196.

The shop I went to when looking at a possible purchase of a new Vespa, Aprilla or Kymco had an electric scooter setup for delivery. Guy said they were starting to sell them to local pizza shops. All I remember was it was out of my price range. Don't even remember the actual price.

I have just about 200 miles on my 5 month old Magnum. This will be the 3rd time I adjust the chain, This time the the slack is big. Should I forgo the tightening and get a new chain? Adjusting the chain is a pain in the butt I'd like to reduce the number of adjustments I have to make. I won't ride it until I adjust it or get a new chain.
Your thoughts will be welcomed.
To get the size for a new chain do I take the old one off and measure it?

GER I'm sorry to hear you are feeling poorly I hope you recover quickly. USTACOULD: I've been spending a lot of time on my CB 900 and very little on the Magnum. The only thing I have not completed on mine is the rear wheel hubs at the bolt ons. That light sleeve and the china bolts just are not holding up. Gonna match a bolt to the roller bearings and do away with the soft metal sleeve. Will be no more play in the wheels than Mike Mike dying for some pictures I think that might have been what sent me to the hospital (got to blame someone can't be my fault). ;D |

gee is there a modern medicine forum . I think I could be a good doctor . I have the hand writing to proove it . Ger feel free to tell me to zip it at anytime !!!! John I have not seen a doctor write prescription in years it's always a nurse or at the hospital an intern. At the University of Miami Hospital I met 3 interns of the heart specialist. 2 Good looking young ladies and 1 guy whose face I don't remember. |
