Jcamaro: I also have a 300 Magnum, and I love it. It's a scooter so it is what it is but if you can do the maintenance skills yourself they are great little trikes. I usually ride by myself and 55-60 mph all day long. Feel free to pm me as well if you have any questions. Mike in FL and I are good friends and rode together last summer in Arkansas. vr, Lee

Ok so good news in the very end...I'm glad for you Roy. I've been tempted for some time about getting a spare fan off a rice burner at the junk yard. Other than just crank it up I haven't ridden my Magnum in probably 3 months. But I'm riding the pee out of my Honda CB 900.

And Mikey...this is why I carry 2 super large trash bags and some duct tape. Then we got a new washing machine and it came with a plastic bag that just happened to fit over the trike...so now I carry that too. It will dry out, however your problem is in the starter wiring switch it grounds out easily when wet. vr, Lee

Yep 1,000 miles and I'm still on the original one...but it is streching out. Probably change it this summer. Mike did you buy a stainless chain? Motorcycle one? GER if you do adjust the chain lift the trike and make minor adjustments at a time (less than one turn at a time to get the tightness you want.) GER I don't have any pixs but I'll call you to talk it thru if you need me to.

Yep you're right it is. Good luck and be careful. By the way. Nice her today (but windy) so I'm taking the trike out for a ride. On the Honda 900 tonight for a ride to Russellville and back 86 miles round trip. see ya fella's

Ger: Like Mike says...you won't see marks on the tire, it just melts the plastic fenders. It is definitely the tire rubbing if you hear that screech sound. You'll be able to tell by slowly running your fingers along the edge of the inside fender and you'll feel the really smooth melted plastic. Mine does it when I ride 2 up with the 255 tires. My top speed is about 64 measured with GPS. Consistent 55 is pretty easy. Might play with the AFR mixture, because getting it right on is really crucial for speed, aceleration, top end on these scoots. Alleyoop can probably help you get it dead on if you need the help.

Mike used velcro to hold his GPS...seemed to work pretty well. I ended up zip tying mine to the center of the handlebars. Took it off though because I knew someone would steal it if I parked anywhere for a long time. One day I'll put velcro on mine too. Right now though I'm riding the Honda CB 900 all the time.

Mike: I'm so sorry to hear about Richard. My prayers are with your family. I'll be going to SC on Sunday for a week. If you are here before then or after the 12th we can grab lunch. Will you be here? vr, Lee

GER: You know we told you to change the tires didn't we? ?? Glad it's all good. One thing to look out for is if you put a second rider on you probably will hit the rubber some. Tell us a little more about the front tire and is your speedo accurate now? Lee

Oh yeah GEER I forgot our 255's came the same way (crushed). They pop out nicely though.

Yeah I agree Mike that just doesn't sound right to me either. But, in the grand scheme of things that only becomes a big factor if: 1) you ride in the rain 2) and you have atleast a 1/2 inch of standing water that you ride thru. If that were to transpire it seems to me instead of the water channeling thru the tread to the back and side of the tire it would be pushed towards the front of the tire causing a much worse hydro plane condition. Not saying I'm right just thinking out loud. Hey GER aren't you up ther where "two guy garage" is? Why not call that one in? vr, Lee

Alley back to the "can't check the tranny fill"...yes you can, but you have to have a full tranny first. Take a zip tie and use it to check normal fill then mark it with a permanent marker and you can then use it as a tranny dip stick. vr, Lee

GER: The more I think about this the better off I am about it. I still believe the arrow should ride in the direction the tire will naturally turn when you ride forward. Read the sidewall and give us the load weight authorized and the wear code.

GER: I'm skeptical! The tire still rotates in the same direction as a rear tire does so putting the arrow in the opposite direction doesn't make since to me. The direction of travel allows for easy removal of road fluid (water). So the direction of travel I believe should all be the same in relation to the tread. As far as front or back tire...that wouldn't bother me near as much. The weight distribution will be approx the same and there is little to no lean on a trike front or rear. That's my .02 worth. vr, Lee
