Tierod: Not sure what you are discussing here. If it's just that the rod is not snug enough based on where your mirrors are positioned you can shim the mirror stud to tighten it up. If it's a vibration cause by too loose of a screw in stud you may not be able to do anything about that. Mike, I like the originals once I fixed them to where I wanted them to be versus what the factory gave me.

Hey fella's: After having my Magnum 300 for about 2 1/2 years I noticed a vibration in the right side rear view mirror. I pried it off and reset the mirror (glass) with silicone. It worked so well and took so much of the mirror vibration out I decided to do it to the left one as well. Might want to check your mirrors. The right one was very wobbly.

Wow lots of ways to change the variables here. Different tire sizes, changing front and rear gears (but you better know what you are changing to), big bore kits. It's fairly easy changing low end torque for top speed and vice versus. I think ALLEYOOP will back me up here when I tell you with a super tune on the scoot you can probably pick up a little on both ends over the dealer prepped scoot, but if you are wanting a lot of difference then a combination of gears/tires maybe in order. I can't remember the exact amount you gain from a one tooth change on the rear sprocket (2 mph maybe)...depending on the size of the motor in your scoot.

This is all good to know. I don't drive the Magnum 300 or my CB 900 when it looks like rain (to old for that kind of fun). I think I told you guys about my digital volt meter I permanently mounted...probably in the "other forum" though. Anyway it provides me with a very good analysis of what is happening on the charging side of my system. I can switch it on before I ever fire up the scoot and it tells me the health of the battery before I crank it up. It's so reliable I know when I should put a slow charge on it long before I'm going for a ride. While I'm riding it shows about 14 volts of current going to the battery from the stator. It's comforting more than anything. ALLEY: My Honda 900 has a sealed stator...I haven't really looked at our scooters. No way to seal it?

You bet my friend and I am really glad to hear that. Wow you know we really should plan a get together some time with all us Magnum owners (and 150's). I could load Mike's up on my trailer and haul us somewhere close to some of you guys. Maybe do a campout with a "liars" campfire or something. Sure would be fun!

Mike: No I don't remember either. I just add slowly until it registers correctly. Ironworks: One bit of advice I will give you is to fix this before you ride. It will never get better on it's own...and fixing things early on all these chinese (and any others for that matter) prevents serious problems later. I do a check (about a 3 minute ordeal) before I ride every time. A little patience goes a long way on these trikes. Lastly any nuts and bolts that are under weight stress (like the Magnums chain adjustment) are better done with the stress relieved...on our magnums that means jacking the rear up off the ground before you adjust the chain. It will help the wear and tear on the cheap chinese bolts. Other option is to replace them when you work on them with quality US products (which is what I tend to do). I never fixed replaced a problem twice with mine. I've gone over a year with no problems on my Magnum.

GER I'm sorry to hear you are feeling poorly I hope you recover quickly. USTACOULD: I've been spending a lot of time on my CB 900 and very little on the Magnum. I probably should sell it but I just can't bring myself to do it. Hope you guys are all doing ok. vr, Lee

Alley: With such few miles on this guys trike there is no reason that stator should be burnt up...do you agree?? I would be very concerned about the electrical "regulation". I can certainly understand that if the stator is malfunctioning because of burnt wires it would cause engine reliability problems. What I don't understand (short of a factory defect in the stator) why the stator would burn up this quickly in the life of this particular scooter. It appears this particular stator was poorly made and with little or no quality control of it? A new one might fix the problem but I believe after a new one is added I would do a voltage check to see what it is putting to the battery and what it is absorbing. vr, Lee

Mike an aluminum drive shaft would be a wonder wouldn't it? Would atleast do away with the constant chain adjustment. I'm with you the motor is just fine. Could use some after market products for them. Better and stronger panels would also be good. Hey Jim any idea how much a whole plastic body would be...could change the color of the the trike every couple of years. ha-ha

Yeah I hear ya. I thought about selling my 300 Magnum too because I ride my 900 a lot. But just haven't ridden the trike much because I go to Russelleville alot and the 900 takes the interstate so much better than the back rodes on the trike. But everytime I think about selling it I just can't do it...it's a great little trike. I might up and do it one day we'll see. vr, Lee

Yepper replacing any fuel lines with fat meat hooks for hands just ain't easy. Word of caution to all though if you buy a Magnum 300 and you do your own PDI, when you tear the panels off do yourself a favor and replace all the fuel lines and fuel filter and relocate the fuel filter so that you can get to it with tearing the panels off again. Saves heartache later.
