Hi,
I can put my 2 cents worth in here.....I bought my Rowdy 150 last fall and have since put 2000 miles on it. No repairs, no breakdowns, etc... I do my maintenance regularly, check for anything that may loosen up due to rough roads, etc..., but I can't say enough good about it. It always starts easily. I've used Seafoam in the fuel and that may be a key factor. The little bit of additional expense is justified. I've checked fuel mileage and I get 78 mpg. The only discrepancy I've found is my speedometer reads LOW by about 4 mph when checked by gps. This is contrary to what most Chinese scoots are. Initially the "sweet spot" was around 30mph but since it is getting broke in, it has moved up to nearly 40mph. (Indicated speed) At that speed, the motor is purring, very smooth, and not working at all..... As far as modifications, I've changed roller weights, the torque spring and the clutch springs. Not because they were broken or anything but just because it needed a little more "oomph" in the hills. It helped enormously and I now lose very little speed on the hills. The Rowdy is a heavy scooter and I'm "portly" but overall I am extremely happy with it and it holds the road well. I still find it hard to believe it is only a 150cc.

My Rowdy 150 and I left on Friday and rode from home to Maumee, OH to attend my granddaughters fastpitch softball tournament. She is a left handed catcher with a rocket arm and already as a junior in HS has been courted by several colleges and has a standing offer of a full ride at one.....She has been invited to two more colleges this next week for skills testing and to tour campuses. I am so happy for her because college costs so much and at least that part will be taken care of.
It was 224 miles round trip. This was the first time I actually checked fuel mileage on the Rowdy and it came in at 78 miles per gallon! Outstanding! No problems with the scoot either way. Odometer turned 1100 miles on the way home and valves are starting to tick a little so will need to adjust them soon. Unfortunately the raincover I ordered hadn't arrived when I left home so I stopped at a Harbor Freight and picked up a $3 5x7 tarp as a late evening heavy rain was predicted and I didn't want the Rowdy sitting out in the rain unprotected. The tarp served it's purpose and my raincover was in the mailbox when I arrived home so I will have it for the next adventure ride.

Hey guys I just picked up a 2008 BR 150 clone it seems the brand as labeled is Vitacci here are some pics imgur.com/a/dpxG3 Kinda is a pain not having anywhere to put a helmet. Anyone see a manual anywhere? I looked in the manual section and didnt see anything that appeared to be the same. Nice scoot! Looks like a carbon copy of my Rowdy. As far as a manual, I have a pdf of the manual for a Rowdy. I'll upload it so you can reference it. It may or may not be the correct version for your scoot but it is worth a try....I have been trying since last Nov to get the correct manual for my 2012 Rowdy. I have a DC cdi and the schematic shows an AC cdi. I have a flash to pass switch and that is not shown. Also, I have an analog instrument panel and the manual shows a digital, etc....so it is obviously not the correct version. As far as lack of storage, I know the feeling. I added a rear rack with a storage box to my Rowdy. It definitely needs some type of storage.

Great looking rack. Paint the clamps like the rest and it will look OEM Thanks for the compliment. I've been waffling on how I want to proceed with the clamp color....It is between a black powercoat which is supposed to stick to galv and a shiny black vinyl dip coating similar to what is on tool handles..... I'm leaning toward the latter as it will pad the clamp and should also look "original". It is SO nice to now have a rack and storage on the scoot.

nice and neat!! what's inside that luggage? it even has combination lock, i like the concept. i may do same to my almighty momo! indestructable momo! I keep my toolkit in it along with raingear and reserve the rest of the room for whatever "finds" I may see at the various garage sales, flea mkts, etc that I may run across during a days ride. Also I really needed a place to carry a small amount groceries home....The Rowdy doesn't have a standard seat bucket for such items. I wanted a Gold Wing or HD Tour Pak type of luggage to put on the back but they were out of my $$ league and when I ran across this at a 2nd hand thrift for $10 I thought why not....it will work in the interim if not indefinitely . If I eventually run across the other type in my travels for the right price I may pick it up as they are about 22" wide and would provide a lot more room for "finds". It is also why I made my rack that width. Read more: www.scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=customscootsmodsetc&thread=7783&page=1#ixzz2RXT8aFDz

I looked around but no one seems to be building a rear rack for the Rowdy.....I never carry any passengers anyways so I thought a rear rack would be more useful than the fold down passenger seat. After looking at atv racks for ideas for most of the winter I drew up what I thought mine should be. A few hours....or was it days.....in the shop and it is done. I used common conduit straps that clamp around the rear passenger handles to secure the rack to the scoot. They provide a rock solid mount for the rack. And finally, I was in a local thrift store and ran across this file storage box. In its original configuration it had broken locks and was approx 2" too tall. Again, a few hours in the shop and it was 2 inches shorter, reinforced the corners, added a bottom and a new key lock. While I was at it, I changed out the lock on the side storage box so both now have the same key. Still need to finish the small luggage carrier rack I want to add to the top of the storage box. I picked up some steel tube this afternoon for it and have a plan drawn so it won't take too much to get it done and mounted.

Logged in, verified email address and everything went well.....I agree with Alleyoop, that there seemed to be a bit too much red.
Thanks

Took scoot out for run to Post Office, about 3 miles with several good hills. I can fully appreciate the work I did to the Rowdy during the winter now. New 1500rpm clutch springs and a 1500 torque spring were installed along with a "beeper" on the turn signals. The springs improved the rideablility 100% as far as hills go. Very pleased with it. It always seemed "hang" and draw down the motor on climbs. Now rpms stay up where they should be and lose very little mph on climbs....It is nice to have an audible blinker now. It was wired through a relay so when brakes are on at a stop light the sound is off. Other work during winter consisted of drilling out A/F mixture plug and adjusting mixture. It now starts instantly and works as it should. Also installed a "performance" DC cdi. Don't know if that contributes to the easy starting but it certainly is different than the original. Many thanks to all on this board for all the information that is here. I certainly appreciate all the work that has gone into it. Thanks again.

Thanks Alley. I ordered a set of jets that include 108, 110, and 112 from KidNme. That should pretty much take care of me for now. The set with shipping was $19.80. They weren't the cheapest but I ordered from them only because they are a supporter of this forum...I for one certainly appreciate all of the effort you put into this information database. I would be lost without it. Thanks again. Bill

You can get 107 main jet, Quesiton are you sure you have a DC CDI and NOT a AC CDI? What a performance CDI does is ADVANCE your timing. Alleyoop I'm 99% sure it is a DC. CDI has 2 plugs, one with 3 wires and one with 1 wire. As soon as I get it back together I'll take a voltage reading off of the 1 wire plug. With key on and engine off, I would expect to find ~12v dc on the 1 wire plug if it is a dc cdi. Thanks

On my 150, my main jet is marked 105. I have seen a recommendation by some of the vendors on here to upgrade the main jet 1 size when going to a performance dc cdi. How are the jets sized? Is a 110 considered one size up from a 105?
Thanks

where does the crankcase breather hose go to when i eliminate all the other connections? ive removed the pair system but am kinda confused, right now i have the crankcase breather hose connected to the s tube. On my SSR Rowdy the crankcase breather tube connects into the air filter box so I just hooked it back in its original position. I had one line from the PAIR system that went to the air box and on that one I siliconed a smooth shank bolt and installed it in the fitting in the air filter box. With the system removed it sure cleaned up the engine compartment. My carb was the type that has the sealed adjustment port so while I had the plastics off, I pulled the carb and drilled out the sealing cap. Info for that project is also available on this forum. This forum is a great source of information and I certainly appreciate all the work they do to make this info available.

OK, thanks for the information. Just finished getting the valve cover back on and the block-off plate installed. Got some tests at the hospital tomorrow so hopefully on Wednesday I can get the rest of it back together. Thanks again.

When removing the PAIR system from a 150cc, does the valve cover also need to be changed to a non-emission type along with installing a block off on the port in the head or can the emission type valve cover remain? If so, what do I do with the larger hose that is currently on the bottom of the emission valve cover?
Thanks

As for the CDI it looks like a DC CDI, Usually the DC CDIs only have one wire on the TWO PLUG if a AC CDI there are usually TWO wires one for the KILLSWITCH the top wire on the 2 plug. To positively be sure, take a volt meter or 12v Light Tester TURN THE KEY TO ON and TOUCH that BLACK WIRE on the 2 Plug, if it registers 12v with the meter or if the LIGHT TESTER lights that is a DC CDI. Alleyoop Thanks so much for the info. I will check it as soon as I get the battery box/battery back in the scoot. Bill
