did u ever see the movie "taking lance home" ? or something like that. it was a movie about a LT Col who requested to escort the body of a fallen soldier home. its a true story.... all along the way complete strangers, ordinary people saluted the fallen soldier.
it was a honor to watch it.
then just a week or 2 ago on the TV show NCIS it was about a WW II solider a Medal of Honor recipient
towards the end of the show a couple of JAG officers were going to take this solider into confinement. the one NCIS guy, slowly pulled the guys tie off to the side to show the Medal of Honor
Just like all soldiers should, the MP's immediately snapped to attention and saluted
i really dont think soldiers do it because they have to, its military law that you salute the Medal. No matter if the recipient is a private and your a general YOU SALUTE THE MEDAL AND THE SOLIDER WHO WAS AWARDED IT.
its just a sign of respect from a solider to the MOH recipient.
i think we should carry this just a bit farther soldier or not YOU SEE A VETERAN--of any war, conflict, or even those who served our country in peace time YOU SHOULD SALUTE THEM. I DO
just my 2 cents

Hey Terri, is that one of the VIP type scoots? Zug NOPE just a regular ol SHANGHAI SCHENKE MOTORCYCLE COMPANY LTD SL150 21B
8K miles on her, all STOCK STILL still runs like a beast, i guess i could get a lil more performance out of her if i replaced the OEM STOCK belt and sliders/rollers. But that will have to wait till i see whats gonna happen

looker i can see that.....
i had a magneto / stator prob back last winter. to make a long story short, i started with the easy fixes and replaced the plug. the CDI , the coil etc etc when it was finally fixed, i had a small backfiring prob. only when doing high rpm's and decelerating quickly. the guys on here gave me all types of things to look for spent many hours trying to fix it. FINALLY i noticed that i had used a regular plug, when replacing parts so i got and installed a NGK again. OMG the backfiring stopped, the was increased performance
i just couldnt believe a plug would make that much difference BUT IT DID so now instead of carrying a spare regular plug the spare is a NGK also

if you need to go 55-60 mph u need at least a 250cc.
most 150cc's will cruise at 45-50 all day long, with a occasional boost of 50-60 NOW THAT IS STOCK
my 150 cruises all day at 55 and i can get to 60-65 for very short bursts w/o out going over 8500 rpms. and shes all stock
now u can make a 150 run 55-60 by tuning the CVT, the carbs etc
but imo u'd be better off getting a 250 and cruise at 55-60 with shorts bursts
storage space well u always will have under the seat, u can add a 'trunk' theres a member on here cccf { i think} who has hard type side cases on his 250 and it looks good. but that has always been a downfall of scoots great mileage around town, etc etc but NO carrying space. when i have a ton of things to carry i have a regular plastic box w/ lid { that you can buy at wally world} i cut holes in the sides so i can strap it down, securely still cant carry a ton tho lmsao
if you find something u like get the make. model, etc and call your DMV and see if it is able to be registered there

I have the exact same carrier for use with my RV. The only issue I have with it is the direction of loading. The throttle being on the right I have to reach over the scoot while trying to push and guide it up so I disassembled the carrier and turned it around. I had to drill a couple new holes for the reflectors which of course wound up facing the RV instead of the rear. I have not tried it yet in this new configueation because of the season. I might also have a bit more problem loading because it is also higher being on my RV instead of a conventional vehicle (steeper incline and harder to reach the throttle). now prob because i had a lower 'center' i never used the throttle. actually that sorta scared me, if slipped or cranked the gas OMG
i could usually find some place where the ramp would be just a slight incline, i also bought long bolts to put thru where the front wheel would roll over the opening, where the back wheel would sit, and after the front wheel went over that spot i could balance the scoot and pull those 3 bolts out, so the back wheel, would 'sink' down in and then when unloading do the exact thing to get the front out. understand?
