It doesn't fit on the engine, it is the engine (rightside crankcase).

presently goes to plastic round component with a second hose coming off and going to a round shot glass size part that has end filed with holes that draw in outside air. Lose that - a constant source of irritation and vacuum leaks
other thing noticed is idle /fuel adg. screw doesn't seem to produce much of a chnge in RPM.
Mine came with a #32 pilot jet / #105 main and ran way too lean - had to back the AF screw out 4+ turns. Went to #38 pilot/112 main jet which worked considerable better

Yeah, it's running again. The Mikuni fuel pump quit on me and I killed the already weak starter trying to get it running. Original fuel pump, new starter, new battery - varoom. Just turned 10000 miles on it.

I was getting a surging on my 150cc scooter and I figured it must be either in the belt or rollers. Scoot had 1,800 miles on it when it started getting worse. I ordered a new belt from Scrappydogscooters and rollers. My scooter came with 17 or 18 gram rollers and I dropped it back to 15 grams. The belt was 835 and I went to a 842. The new belt and rollers cured the surging and my speed went up nearly 5 MPH. Today I took my GPS along for the ride to check the actually speed, 55.3 MPH, a new record for this scooter. Previously it would top out at 55 on the Chinometer now it's 59 on the Chinometer. This was on level ground and I was wearing a heavy coat, gloves and riding normally sitting up. I would imagine if I went into a full tuck I might be able to squeeze 60 MPH out of her. I weigh 220 lbs. so I guess that's not too bad for a 150cc scooter. Gary Told ya you'd like it. That 835 belt and 17g rollers definitely hold you back. Wait till it gets broke in good.

828-22.5-30 is standard for the 244cc with a 10" wheel. With a 13" wheel I guess we have a long case 244. The belt on my M3 is unmarked. Using the nominal and actual dimensions of a gy6 835 belt and the OD of the M3 belt, I come out with 918-22.5-30 as the belt size, there is a 906 belt that might also work. I also found there are 2 possible variators for the 244cc, 128mm and 138mm. Keeping in mind my limited experience with scooters, the first thing that comes to my mind is a clutch bearing. It will work fine on the center stand but under a load you get serious belt slippage and low speeds - had that experience with my Carino. I don't know if that could cause the belt slap you spoke of - I haven't had that problem.
