Let's see......110, scooter runs great......115, scooter bogs at or above 3/4 throttle, and is turning the entire combustion chamber black with carbon. This is not an idle mixture problem. You either, increase the air flow more and run the 115, or run the 110 with your current configuration.
But you had that figured out already.
An eight horsepower, 500+ pound GVWR scooter, will never be a rocket, but still fits the bill as a very basic, enjoyable, and economical form of transportation. Not fast enough?..... Save your money and get that 250cc......but a year later, you'll wish it were a 500. The only solution I've found to this conundrum, is having an assortment pack of rides.....but this can get rather expensive.

That's not a lot of miles.....but being 8 years old could explain it. I have a tractor that is 7 years old...will probably have to put new tires on the front end this year. The tread is barely worn at all, but tires have cracks/splits between the lugs, and in the side walls. Won't be long before they start to leak. A lot of rubber today, isn't what it used to be. Expensive to buy, but cheaply made..... guess it's just a sign of the times.

....why would the belt just go just like that ?
No way of knowing without pulling the cvt cover off. You didn't say how old the belt was.....or how many miles it had run. They are a normal wear item, so need to be inspected on a regular basis. I put about 2,500 miles a year on my scoot, and give the belt a good look see annually. Measure its width, turn insidie out and check all of the valleys for cracks, etc, etc. My last belt was replaced after running 6,800 miles, it didn't break, it wasn't cracked, or fraying, but had narrowed 2 millimeters in width....so I installed a new one. My preference is the Gates Premium series, they are a quality belt.
So pull your cover, and get a new belt.
As far as your question about Alley, a lot of us have wondered the same thing. It seems to be a big mystery, with some kind of security clearance required. He sure was an asset to this forum, and spread his knowledge to all of us.

Yes it is. Because of my filters location, it is subjected to some dust/dirt slung around by the rear tire. I wrapped a piece foam around mine, (cut to fit) from a lawn mower filter pre cleaner. At every oil change, I slip the foam off, clean, mist with oil, and slip it back on. If I was going to ride in bad weather, or be commuting every day, I'd make some kind of shield to protect it from water spray. But I'm just a fair weather rider, so don't need it.

This is how I solved the frame problem, (if that's what you were referring to)......I know...... it isn't pretty to look at, but it works well, and is durable, and none if it shows unless the seat bucket is removed anyway. i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj622/rks3526/IMG_0080.jpg

No "one size fits all" answer to this topic. Jetting after mods, is always trial and error. Buy an assortment pack (5 or 6 jets). I'd almost bet that your stock scooter, with a 120 main, would struggle to make 25 or 30 mph. As soon as you opened the throttle half way.....it would bog. I live at 1600 ft......operate at elevations between 500 to 2000 ft......I run a 115 main with a K&N cone, mounted as far from the carb as possible, and stock exhaust. A performance filter mounted directly to carb mouth, would flow differently, and need to be jetted accordingly. To many variables, for anything to be written in stone. My air filter/carb jetting mods, were made at 366 odometer miles. Since then, my scoot has covered more than 11,000 miles without a single carb problem.....always starts, idles, and runs well. The image below is my scoot's original plug after running 11,500 miles. This is the way it came out of the head.....no cleaning needed.

If you have enough room......Harbor Freight puts these on sale for less than $300 a couple of times a year. Don't believe I'd sell mine, for the price I paid for it. Has plenty of space for your scoot, a coffee cup, half of the tools you own, and even an optional ash tray. It's nice to have all of the essentials up off the floor.

Ive experienced Stellar customer service from this vendor. I second this emotion... recently, a broken mounting bracket on my muffler, put my scoot out of service. But not for long, thanks to Parts for Scooters....an order placed on a Wednesday, arrived at my place on Saturday. Pretty darn close to 1200 miles between us, and only 72 hours from order to delivery, very well packaged, and a higher quality exhaust system than the original. Thank you PFS. Hopefully won't need a complete engine anytime soon, but as parts become necessary.... I will be back.

"fuel flows to the cab now... I now have a clean tank new fuel lines. new fuel filter and new fuel pump."
"SO I replace the Carburetor the spark plug and the wire,"
Replace the vac lines... manifold to fuel pump with the "T", and line to the fuel cut valve located on the right side of carb. Any other vac lines, canisters and the like, should be eliminated.
Check the valve lash.....I'd almost bet that they've never been adjusted.

I put a MSD box on my 66 Pontiac years ago, works real well. My scooter is still running it's factory box, it still works fine, engine always fires before it has turned 2 revolutions. I just bought a new cdi for it though.... (after 5 years of use, thought it might be good to have a spare near by). Being total satisfied with the original, and with my scooters performance, and economy figures, i decided to get one just like it. It took a few weeks to be delivered, but only cost $3.70, and shipped for free.
Some will swear by the racing or high performance boxes......I'm not going racing with, or looking for high performance from, an eight horsepower scooter, so in my mind......they are a waste of money.

Have it all back together now, and it's ready to ride. We're supposed to get 3 days at on near 60* this week, so I plan on getting a few miles in myself. Her we are in the last week in February, and I'm thinking of scootin......beginning to believe there might be something to this global warming nonsense after all.

Time for my annual, class-A inspection, so I thought I'd strip the scooter of it's plastic for better access, and a bit of cleaning. Odometer now stands at 11,491.0. Checked valve lash, still maintaining .003", and .005", that makes nearly 9,000 miles with no adjustment needed. Replaced the original spark plug for the first time (even though it still looks and works fine). Opened the CVT, cleaned it up some, checked and measured the belt, it has lost .3mm in width since new...3,679 miles ago. Engine and transmission fluids changed. Checked wiring and connections. Replaced fuel and vac hoses, did that when scoot was new too, but that was 5 years ago. I like the tygon hose, but, because it does shrink some with age....need to cut it a bit longer than, just long enough to reach. Cleaned air filter pre-cleaner, dumped the fraction of an ounce of liquid from the catch can, and gave the whole area under the body plastics a cleaning. Can't seem to get an image to post right now......will try later.

Chinese scooters are not for everyone.... but can be a very dependable machine, and a joy to own. You have to do your homework before purchasing, as well as a comprehensive PDI upon removal from the shipping crate. Failure to do so yeilds problem after problem.
Five years ago I bought my cheap, little, Chinese scooter. It is not, and never will be a quality machine like a Honda, or Yamaha.......I knew this going into the deal.....but it has covered 11,491 miles without a road failure, or breakdown. Shows no signs of wearing out, and runs better than when new. I am more than happy with it.
As far as staying away from Chinese products......I don't think that is possible anymore.

I managed to ride something, every day, for the past 7 days in a row. This great stretch of weather is coming to a screeching halt though....65 degrees this morning at 10:45......now it's 32 degrees, with snow flurries, with a few inches expected, I imagine the salt trucks will be out.
Can't complain.....added 391 miles to my fleet of 4 this week, ...... 83 were on the scoot.

I hate to be the one to say this...but you ordered the wrong belt. check this link, it and several other sites, state that the 799x19x28, is the belt for the 125cc, Lance, Cali Classic. It only takes a few minutes of searching, to come up with the correct parts for any scooter. Gates Belt
