I have a 2006 150cc gy6 Sunl scooter, and i like'it, ppeopple here seems to like'it alot too, because it looks bigger then the othr scooters around , problem is, in my country most roads are way to damaged, only main roads are in good conditions, i use the scooter alot, especialy with 2 persons riding it. So with so much bumps, road holes and such, the covers are starting to fall off, because the clipps are getting broke, i reinforce them drilling some new holes and installing new clipps but they are starting to brake againg, since that the fiberglass and the plastic are dry and it breaks easy, now im tempted to remove the body parts but like i stated i like the scooter and most of all , its diferent from the other ones and makes me fell fine that i have a nicer scooter, so i wonder if instead of building a naked choper type scooter, if anyone knows a place to find better builded body parts or and advice on how to secure them better so they dont brake too often.. Thanks for any advice.

Well, it didnt went that well, but i had to learn anyway, first as i dont have an impact tool or a starp wrench i broke a few arts of the outer ulley , now i have to buy a new one, but after i disasembled the variator, it was just a matter of clean it and reinstalled, put the new belt, and put everything back together, did a test drive and everything went ok, now is it normal to smell like burning tire for a few minutes during the test drive? its not smelling anymore, tomorrow ill buy the outer pulley and install that just to have everything in nice shape. all parts look clean , the clutch had a few pieces of the belt, but i clean the and hoe tomorrow everything gets ok. thanks for the advice guys.

I installed the filter, scooter runs just fine as it was running before, i cheked the belt and the belt looks a bit worn, not too much not alot of brakeage just few tiny ones, but the cover does have alot of black dust from the belt, the belt cost me 15 dlls so maybe tomorrow ill buyit and see if i can get more speed, as i only h\get up to 55 on starght raods and to 50 uhill, not bad , but wish i could hit 60 on straight road. about setting the valve gaps , im a bit sacred to mess with the engine in that way, but im a DYI person so i gues after replacing the belt, ill mess a bit with the valves...ill kee posted, any other sugestions to get a bit more seed on this thing?

Thanks for reading, glad i found this great site, hope i get a nice time here, anyway , i have a sunl cozumel 150 scooter, wich it was runnng great until i changed the oil, i think i overfilled the oil, and somehow it went to the air filter and the scooter started to gave me some por aceleration but once i got in to the 55 miles i was ok, so last night i uninstalled the air filter, since i thought it was in good conditions, i tried to clean it up with some dish soap, and after that i let it dry and installed again, my surprise was that the scooter didnt event wanted to start, so i just removed the air filter and the scooter starts, i even did a test drive and the scooter runs just fine , as i also installed a new spark plug. So my question is, do i really need to buy a new filter, since impretty sure that its still new, o am i missing somenthing, im pretty sure all the hoses are in the correct place. If anyone can hel point me to the correct manual for this scooter, thanks for any help.
