Fuel issue?

My BMS Patriot 150 (Znen 150T-12) did the same thing last year at approx. 60 miles. I changed the carb too. Turned out to be the fuel pump (petcock). Check that.

About 25 yrs ago here in Rochester,NY 7 women challenged the topless shirt laws and won. For a while some women strutted their stuff all over the area, but within months the fad faded out and no female goes topless any more, even though it is legal here.

Installed my new windshield-Slipstreamer Scoot 30 model. Looks like a high quality unit. Can't test it yet, as it is STILL RAINING here.

Check the thickness before you buy. I bought one in April this year, and it was .075 in thick. 2 weeks later it snapped while I was going 35mph. Cheap, under $45.! I just ordered a Slipstreamer brand, which is .150 thick. 3 times the price bust I have faith this one will last longer

I guess I will have to stop complaining about our cold winters and snow we get here in NY. Rattlesnakes are no closer than 40 mi, and we don't have any of those other creatures around here

My BMS had similar problems last year. Had about 75 miles on it. Turned out to be a $12 fuel pump. Everyone ignores the fuel pump in diagnosing problems, but it is a very important part of the system

Thanks Alley, and everyone else. I did check online last night and all the info was positive. Nobody downed the brand. With that being said, today I cleaned everything out and replaced the cover. This summer I will buy a spare and check it in the fall again. Rich

Removed the belt on my Patriot 150 to check its condition. It is a Bando belt and it is fine at 900 mi. Is Bando a decent brand or are they junk?

Sorry, I didn't think this forum was about the junk being added about others as stated above.

CDI
by: kepps1280 - Mar 9, 2013 16:19:32 GMT -6

Finished my CDI project (along with other parts) today. mounted that small CDI that I thought was an AC unit. Scooter fired right up. I guess one can't go by size. I also added a performance coil and iridium plug. I removed all emission crap, and left the air cleaner box alone till next month. After warmup, it had a terrible stumble at midrange, so I tore the Jap carb apart to change the rod position. NO adjustment on the rod. So I threw that carb on the bench and put on a cheap carb that I had laying around. I changed the rod position by 1 setting, and left the jet alone as I don't have any spares(yet). Unbelievable difference. My 150 runs like a scared rabbit. Very happy with todays results

CDI

I am confident mine is DC. It measures 3 1/2in x 1 1/2in vs 2 7/8in x 1 1/2in for the new one. Connectors on my existing are: 3 wires on the large plug, and one black wire on the small plug. with the key on, engine off the lone black wire read 12v. I did not realize that a dc cdi can be the same size as an ac cdi. As long as you say I won't fry any parts other than the cdi, I will see what happens. Won't be for a day or so. Thanks again.
