After replacing the black elbow pipe that connects the water pump to the engine. And replacing the water pump at the same time. Getting the air out of the cooling system, I still had overheating problems. The thermostat was checked and it was working. I went ahead and ordered a brand new clean thermostat for the heck of it. Well after more bleeding air out the system, new thermostat, new water pump and elbow pipe I can say the overheating problem appears to have been fixed.

there is a combination of kick back and the crank shaft not turning. It with catch, turn over the crank shaft and then the engine will fire. But its getting harder and harder to start with the combination of kick back and that sound of the crank shaft not turning (same sound as before when my starter clutch went out in December)
Either way, it won't start easily like a LESS THAN A YEAR OLD scooter should.

Either my starting clutch is going bad again or my CDI box isnt working properly. The trike is very hard to start now. Im thinking its the starting clutch going again. I feel sorry for anybody that has read about these trikes and still decide to purchase one. I will tell you right now they are nothing but junk. I know of at least 3 people that have been screwed by purchasing one. And they all have less that 1,000 miles on theirs. I have 3,850 miles on mine and it has been broke down 5 times.

OK, You guys have me scared to death right now, with this bushing issue. So far my shudder seems to be at 25 to 30 mph, and only starts if I maintain that speed for a given time. If I pass right thru that band during acceleration and don't go back I'm fine. Gonna have to break out my video camera snake, and try to snap some photos of my bushings someday soon. Here's my trike & experiments: www.flickr.com/photos/mbarkley/sets/72157632501957931/This Is how mine started. My rear tire was wearing out of round and eventually caused my front to get out of alignment. I thought I had bushing issues but it was actually just the front wheels being out of alignment.

New2scootn, The reservoir doesnt appear to fill up with more coolant than what is already in it. It is defiantly overheating. Everything is hot and I can tell by the smell she is running quite hot. I do not know how to check the radiator for evenly heated areas. The radiator is very hard to get to. The last "burp" I did I noticed the fan was not running. The fan did come on previously though so I might have to work on that issue now.

Tried running the engine 4 separate times (let the engine cool each time) with the cap off. The coolant would rise to the top and come out a little bit then it would burp some and drop. Still overheating though.

A few weeks ago I noticed a puddle underneath my trike. It was rust colored water. I found it leaking from the connection point of the elbow joint pipe connecting the water pump to the bottom of the engine. My coolant reservoir was full of coolant. I tightened the two bolts on the elbow pipe to the bottom of the engine and took a quick ride. I started over heating (first time in 4,000 miles that it ever overheated.) The fan is working, the reservoir is full of coolant, but the connection was still leaking. My next step was to check the thermostat. It worked in a pot on the stove. I then ordered a new joint elbow pipe with two o-rings on each end. I also ordered a new water pump. I installed the new joint pipe and the new water pump. I took off the front panel of the trike to get to the radiator cap (which is connected to a long hose that I assume goes down to the radiator.) I added some coolant directly to that hose and it appeared to be full. The reservoir is still full of coolant. I started the engine and took a short ride and let it idle for a few minutes and it started over heating again. I noticed it still leaks coolant from the connection point to the engine. But its a very small leak. I tightened the bolts even tighter and have not checked it again for overheating yet. I'm still thinking it will still overheat though. I guess my next step will to replace the thermostat. Not sure exactly what else to check. Oh by the way, the small leak after everything new was installed was not rust colored water but actual green coolent.

Good to hear New2scootn. I enjoyed my Sunny RT when it was "running". I put nearly 4,000 miles on it. The concept of the LEANING reverse trike is very nice and all the storage is good but the quality right out sucks. I changed the oil every 600 miles, used gas treatment ( fuel medic) with every fill up. I also broke the trike in and never rode her too hard. I did everything I could to be a "good" chinese scooter owner but I was broken down a total of 5 times. That is just too much with less than 4,000 miles and a $4,250 piece of equipment. I never rode in the rain as well. I was so nice to her but she treated me like sh@! lol. Enjoy your trike. I wish you many miles of pleasure. But I'm hoping to get mine fixed and sold.

I added a top box to my Burgman 650 on Sunday. This weekend I'm replacing the water pump and thermostat on my reverse trike Sunny POS.

285 miles so far on the Burgy. The difference between the Burgman 650 and The Sunny trike is night and day! The suzuki is so smooth and quiet! I am breaking her in so I can't go over 4000 rpm (63 mph) I am barely using any throttle @ that speed and having plenty left over. I am so happy in this new relationship lol. I'm waiting on Sunny parts to get here then I am fixing the trike to sell it and rid the nightmare goodbye forever.

Just put 9 miles on her. I have no 2 wheel experience so I was very easy in the turns but I did get up to 45 mph

The only 2 wheel experience I have is from the motorcycle 2 day course that I took to get my endorsement. I put 3,290 miles on a Sunny reverse TILTING trike. It took some time and lots of practice to get used to the feel of the tilting reverse trike. I just recently bought a Suzuki Burgman 650. I'm looking for opinions on if I maybe jumped the gun a bit and moved on to something too big before getting more 2 wheel experience. Looking for some feedback and opinions. Thank You
