I'm a little stumped, I want to know how the variator and clutch work in a CVT. I need a better understanding, in other words I need to be taken to "class."

I think you take a great pic Denise but take some advice wear as much coverage as possible when riding, your body is exposed to the elements and I and anyone could agree anything to cover yourself from getting badly cut or scratch and even a broken bone. A good pair of jeans, your jacket and a good pair of shoes along with the most important a helmet is the safest thing you can do for yourself and anyone around you. Btw Congrads and happy riding!!

Hey Denise do not down yourself your learnin and I'm learning my scoot is only a few weeks old and I already have prob's with it but that is how you learn. I'm sure you did your homework and looked everything over just the same as I did. I know each scoot is different but all in the same is its a learning and who know's someday you'll have enough of knowledge to help someone. Your also like me I for years only able to get out and just goto dialysis and home and now I have a scoot I can get out more so hang in there sweet pea things work out in the end:)

Forget the emails like gmoney says call them, I got a new scooter 4 weeks ago and only 2 warranty issues a broke ignition switch housing( they sent a new complete kit) the mirror broke because of cold weather and I have had no engine problems so far 300 miles. Answered all my calls and with the issues they were top notch!!!

say what you will personally I've weighed all my options and I'll stick with a "regular" plug till I decide what I am going to do next. Thank you for all of your efforts and the opinions will be well remembered.

If I were to switch the plugs would a standard IGK rather than an the expensive iridium plug since most of my plans expressed above are stock rather than "high" performance?

I respect your opinion but it did not answer my question. Distraction no, I road around town with ear buds with the music not loud just enough to hear it. If at a point they become a distraction then I'll leave them at home. john

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a set of helmet speakers or a set of buds? The set has to play mp3.

After thinking about it for a few days I am not going with a 80bbk till the scooter I have has some miles on it but before that happens I want to replace the air box with a k&n filter 35mm size but before I do so there is this that is attached to the air box: www.eagleatvparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=11340 I've read threw many post and it has something to do with the vent for the gear box, is this something I can safely remove and set aside and if I'm wrong I will plan a few other mods beside replacing the box. The others I had in mind was a new plug and coil, replacing the stock clutch and springs(1500 rated springs) and I also just for appearances open the end of the gear box to expose the clutch. My scoot runs fine at the speed I like and all of these mod's is just for maintaining performance's and not trying to blow things up. Oh before I forget I am going to if adding the new air intake up jetting the carb with an #88 main. I anyone see's a possible problem with what I want to do please feel free to send me a message personally or voice it here.
