Hey all. I pulled out my 50cc taotao today to work on it. It was stolen and recovered 2 mths back and the punks had ripped out the igination. When I got it back I was able to kickstart it. Now I'm unable to kickstart it over no matter how much muscle I put into the kickstart. The only diff is that I had to pull the battery out to put into my new one(which just got stolen). Would not having a battery in it prevent it from kickstarting?

Well I found the problem. Bad news is that the hole isn't on the muffler, its on the bottem of the engine where the pipe connects to it, right next to it. is there any quick fixes or am I screwed?

Ok. Hasn't backfired on me. Just sounds like a motorcycle when the throttle drops down to idle

I had bought a taotao 50cc scooter from ctpremierscooter.com a while back. After a few weeks of use, my front brake line burst on me. Now with having a warrentee, that was for a year, I called them to have them replace it. Was told it would be in in two weeks and delivered to my house. A mth goes by, nothing. Call them, and have to go through the same thing again. call them a third time, and they don't answer their phones anymore, just send me to voicemail, even when I've been blowing up their phone lines for two weeks straight now

Ok thanks, ill look at that. What if the muffler is fine? What should I do next? Just worried bc I use this to get to and from work atm and don't want anything bad happening to it.

Also I had put a caps worth of seafoam(cleaning agent) in the oil and gas mixture, would this cause any problems?

Hey all. I recently upgraded my 50cc for a 150cc(mostly bc my 50cc got stolen on me). I bought it used, its a 2008 t56 150cc, and only had 250 miles on it. I swapped out the oils and gas, as well as removed the kickstart cover to check the belt which is fine(but there's this fine black powder all over inside).
After doing everything I had taken it out for a spin. When I was leaving, I bottemed out due to going over a curb. After doing so, I noticed a metal like rattle coming from the right side underneath. After riding it for a few minutes, I noticed that the muffler sounds like its not sealed flush properly against the engine. How do I go about tightening it? I checked the muffler, and I don't see any breaks or gashes in it, but it does look like I'm going to need to replace it, the metal is showing signs of rust.

I've been looking around my taotao 50 scooter, trying to learn what I can about it and I found this cable with a screw attachment at the end of it. Any one know what this is used for? Attachments:
