I have a Silver Ice Bear Cyclone Trike with less than 900 miles for sale: $2,550.00 Purchased new for $2,800 and have added several upgrades. I spent several months making it road worthy as is typical of Chinese scooters. It is now in excellent condition and runs great. Starts up every time and has been totally dependable. Title is clear. I won't ship it anywhere and it is a cash deal only. I will also accept payments thru Pay Pal. I live east of Cincinnati in Maineville, OH. 45039. You can arrange to pick it up or your own shipping. Those interested please send me a personal reply and I will send you pictures and more info. Shally

Alley, Now that IS interesting. Your muffler after it was welded looks just like mine right from the factory. It looks as if they really did take your advise. I really hope my pipe doesn't break like yours did.

If i could afford that, i would not hesitate for a minute. What i did do was remove the muffler from the pipe, (it is a slip-fit with two strong springs holding them together). Cut a large hole thru the exhaust end (there is a honeycomb baffle in there) in hopes to remove the items that are rattling. i couldn't remove the rattles, but i could see them. So I shoved some stainless steel steel-wool in there to jam the loose items and stop the rattles. it worked fine and it quieted the exhaust even more. My Cyclone is a 2012 and I believe IB had made several improvements. I'm in my 2nd summer of riding and the pipe looks fine. The outside of the muffler does too, just the inside is junk. We'll see how this season goes/ Shally

I need a muffler for an IB Cyclone 150. The one that came with mine is total garbage and i didn't realize it until i wasted a full riding season trying to fix my cyclone. The muffler rattles like someone dropped a couple large nuts in it before welding it shut. It keeps blowing the packing loose and plugging the exhaust. Does anyone know where i can find a replacement that won't drain my savings? Shally

Just wanted to say that I had a pleasant experience with ScrappyDogScooters. I had ordered some parts for my trike. they arrived sooner than expected, well packed and in good condition. I found that the intake manifold would not fit, not because it was defective, but because the design caused the carb to extend out an extra 3/4 inch and would lay on the engine mount. After communicating with them, I returned the item per their instructions. Two days later I received the full refund. I wasn't happy with paying the shipping cost but that is not Scrappy's fault, that comes with ordering on line. Yes, I will order from them again. Thanks ScrappyDog.

Is there supposed to be a replaceable filter element inside the air box? Shally

I tried raising my debt limit but my wife spent it before I could use it. I went ahead and checked the vacuum lines and could not find any problems. I am using the stock muffler, how could that cause my problem? Shally

Thanks for the help but I don't know what a "new Keihin with a pod and a new manifold" is but it sounds expensive and my budget is already shot. As far as the diaphragm, I swapped carbs. I have swapped or bypassed everything in the fuel system with no change. I couldn't find any visible air leaks, swapped the CDI, and readjusted the valve rockers. I had to take it on the road to duplicate the problem and each time it acted up I would adjust the carb 1/4 turn rich until it would start acting up in other ways. I then repeated the process adjusting lean. Nothing helped. Shally

I have removed the air box, carb, and intake manifold and went over them with a magnifier and couldn't find any leaks. I believe "unstable" was somewhat inaccurate, I get about a 200 to 400 rpm drift and I'm not sure if that is normal or not.

Trike was running great until the air box broke and stranded me. Got it home, repaired the air-box, and it ran good but not great for about a week. Then the problem started. It started acting up when climbing a hill. The motor would loose power and it sounded like it was firing only on every other cycle. It would make a "BRAAAT" sound. I found that by backing off a quarter turn, the motor would settle in and if I advanced the throttle slowly, it would accelerate to around 45mph at around 68000rpm. Problem would get worse the longer I went. I figured messing with the air-box may have changed the carb settings. Found the stock carb had the setting screw capped and unadjustable. Replaced carb with one Alley sent me and proceeded to adjust it per a new Trail Tech tach. Take it on the road and found no improvement. No matter where I set it, results were the same. Installed a gravity-feed tank and bypassed the tank, filter, and pump; no improvement. Drilled out plug on OEM carb and reinstalled it; no improvement. Replaced CDI, and plug. Readjusted valves( found exhaust rocker had nearly no play); no improvement. Although the idle is a bit unstable, it is reliable and the trike only acts up when under load. Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas?

I live outside of Cincinnati and see several scooters and many bikes. As of today. I have not seen even one bike rider wearing a helmet, nor have I seen one scooter rider not wearing a helmet. You have to wonder about the intelligence of bikers. When I was riding my Honda, and anytime I ride my trike, I wear my helmet. Are bikers suicidal? Shally

Yes, i understand, what I am thinking is maybe a large C ring might do as well. It would be a harder metal and a tighter fit.. TSC has them in all sizes.

I was so totally convinced it was the wheel bearing that I had it jacked up with the wheel and hub off and was preparing to remove the axle. Then something came up and I had to move the trike out of the way. so I gave the axle a good but gentle WACK, as I read from one of Alleyoops posts, reinstalled the wheel, and pushed it back to its parking spot. Then I realized the noise was gone. Took it for a ride, and it sounded great. I had very little wheel movement before the wack and I couldn't detect any difference after. I guess the shock was just enough to seat everything. Needless to say, Alleyoop knew what he was shoveling. Shally

I believe it is mirage or reflection caused by the flash. It is not there now nor does it show up in the other pictures. here is a pic from the other side. Sorry, picture didn't make it. Sometimes, I hate computers.
