Ready to leave my home town and go out west. Hoping to get to arizona or california. Leaving from northwest arkansas. Id be bringing a couple 2 gallon gas cans along for some of my luggage, and complete tool kit along with oil and spare belt. Anything else I should take? Other than tent and drink7ng water. My bike has 5600 kilometers on it and im planning on changing the oil every 400 miles, since its gonna be long and hard wide open miles. Im thinking about taking historic route 66 for most of the joirney. Im hoping to spend less than 70 bucks to get to where im going.

Still havent figured out where thehose goes, unless it connects to that bigger one that looks like a drain hose. My scooter bogs and misses when taking a hard right turn, but doesnt seem to when leaning left.
Hopefully this weekend will be nice, who here is closest to nw arkansas?

My odometer counts in kilometers.I figured this out after the numbers never seemed to make sense to how far i had ridden, it would roll over 60 miles for a trip that was much shorter than that. So today I got out my gps and did a trip setting and drove 1 mile,it had registered as about 1.4 miles. Then I changed my settings to kilometers on my gps and it was a 1:1 match.
So instead of having 5500 miles on the scooter its only got around 3400+/- or 5500 kilometers.
Anyone else have one counting kilometers instead of miles?

Bob, I know that, the question to you is WHERE IS THE OTHER END OF that hose connected to. Knowing what it is connected to I can tell you what it is for and where the open end should go. Or you can take a picture of the other end of that hose. There are several emissions that a scoot can come with and all of them require VACUUM to open and close a valve. Alleyoop Here are the emissions a scoot may have: scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/9153/emissions-on-scoots?page=1&scrollTo=73810 Maybe this will help,

And now my bike bogs/stalls/cuts out when I go from 0 throttle to dumping full throttle, it also seems to miss a bit. Its a small black hose coming off the oil dipstick side of the scooter that leads to the canister for emissions. I temporally tied the hose in a knot, but was wondering if anyone had a diagram of the hoses so I could just reconnect it and be on my merry way?
Thanks in advance everyone, +alleypoop
Edit: its a peace motorsports dash 150cc scooter. I can take some pictures if it would help

I was wondering if anyone had installed the yoshimura exhaust on their moped? Ive test rode the honda grom with one and really loved the sound it makes. My current. 'Oped is a peace 150,its got lots of power and is fun to ride;but cruising at around 30mph its so quiet i cant even hear the engine. Any performance boost would be a big awesome for me.

Pop the axle nut, pull the axle, pull the wheel. Pull the dust covers and make sure the bearings aren't fragmented. Put some high temp grease on the bearings. Torque to 40 FT/LBS!! That 80 crap smashes the bearings. I've run mine at 40, all of them except the SYM, and never had a problem. I did at 80 though. If they sound OK after that and the wheel tracks true you should be OK. They may have just hit that with an impact so who knows what it's torqued down to. Do you need some pix?
Here's a page putting it back on, that should help. I got the wheel off but couldn't figure out the dust cover . I pulled it back some and smeared grease in all in the bearing and shaft. It didn't make any noise at all today on my ride.I rode the hell out of it today, clocking over 200 miles in just an afternoon. There is lots of beautiful scenic byways in Arkansas that are legandary 2 wheel riding routes. Twisty curvy steep roads, road side historical landmarks. Its amazing how much history is being forgotten about when everyone takes boring straight highways in their big giant SUV's. The only problem I have now is I only get about 90 miles per tank. Is there any big tank options? , other than strapping a couple of jerry cans on my rear luggage rack.

Thanks. Now I seem to have a new issue, the front wheel bearing is about toasted.I can hear it starting to chirp.

Ended up finding a good deal on a 150cc.gave $400 for it, with 5k miles on it.Rides really nice, tops out about 45-50 with my fat @$$ on it. Got it up to 64 ;GPS confirmed down hill.
What sparkplug do I need to order? I want the NGK iridium just don't know the part number.
This thing also has the emissions control tubes running all over it. Is there any benefit to removing all that? Any change in reliability? Power? This thing has a huge round can exhaust muffler with a tiny curved tube inside the tip.
Tomorrow I plan on changing the motor oil, gear oil, clean air filter, spark plug, and a possible valve adjustment check.
What kind of mpg should this thing get? I only put about 60 miles on it after filling up and now I'm down to the red empty. I was driving it pretty aggressively though, totally loving the power difference from a little 49. Having that extra power to spare in the 45mph range is nice. I noticed this motor really starts to pick up around 6600 rpm. It almost seems to lug at 4300rpm like Tue weights are too heavy. Of totally sacrifice the last 10mph of speed for more low speed takeoff power.
Sorry for my novel, just haven't been on in so long and had so much to say.
Hey alleypoop!

Looks like I may have to clean up a large enough space in my garage and get a heater out there this weekend. The PO has all the wiring on this scoot cut and hacked together, wires missing, others not plugged in to the point I cant even get the starter to turn the motor over. I have a donor wiring harness off a year older PEACE 50 that I will put on my taotao.
How hard is it to transplant the wiring harness over? I already have my donor bike 70% disassembled, the only thing still on the bike is the front plastics. Is there anything I should change over/modify/ do different while I've already got it tore down this far?

so with the 6B stamping on the rear of the cvt mean I have a secret 63? or does it just mean I have a pos emissions system on my ride?
