Surprised you even need to go through the trouble of posting an ad to give a scooter away? I know right? Seems like I could easilly get 80-100 bucks out of this scooter the way it sits.

Wiring is a mess, ignition is all screwed up.tail light works but brake light doesnt, also i dont hear the safety brake start thing click. Scooter wont even try to turn over but horn and blinkers work.
Theres lots of random disconnected wires and wires that been cut and respliced. The. Fuse has been bypassed and hardwired together.
Cvt is stamped with a 6B, is this possibly a secret 63?
It has all that emissions crap on it, think its called a PAIR system.

Here in northwest Arkansas the winter is fairly mild so I just start my moped up and let it idle a couple times a week, or whenever I'm in the garage. If its a decent day( mid 50's) I'll drive it a mile down to the store and back, so that the tires don't sit in the same spot and dryrot.

if your headlight doesnt come on until you turn over the engine that also might tell you its AC running lights and blinkers work with key on, but headlight doesnt activate until engine is running. So I guess I have an AC., ================================ 1: Spell check , buy instead of bye, ect. 2:\/ \/ \/ Thanks for your input on the big bore kits. I know the old saying , pay me now or pay me a lot more later. But I'm just trying to get this scooter running as cheaply as possible. I really should just abandon this scooter, as the dash is busted on it, the odometer doesnt work, mirrors fall off, seat bucket is busted, plastic pieces missing,. its really beaten up. I was just wanting to build up a engine for the experience of doing it. and maybe transplant this engine and driveline into a new project later. (like a gocart for my nephew or something).

I tore the engine down in my scooter. Was pretty fun to do. Took about 20 minutes to do it. I found the source of my oil leak was a base gasket. Now that I had to do this much work to get to that I'm going to throw a big bore kit in my scoot

Ok guys let's stay on track here. How should I go about the throttle? Most of the applications for propane I see Is for engines running at a steady rpm, and not changing as much as you would on a bike., although since the bike is spare sitting in my garage I have tinker time to deal with figuring out a part that would work

I got a project in store possibly. I'm considering converting my scooter over to propane. I've gotta rebuild the engine anyways, and have not too much $ invested in this; so as long as I don't burn the house down or kill myself I'll be happy.
My dad has a old propane buffer that has all the intake stuff and Ill pretty much be trial and erroring til I get something thats right. My biggest concern would be the throttle and how to regulate it.
this might even be a bust project. Let me know if you think it can be done.

I Think I'm just gonna rebuild the engine while I'm at it. Its been driven hard and put away wet and has over 4500 miles on it already. Ive outgrown the 50cc capabilities anyways

Been having problems with my moped Running like crap, took the carb off and ended up stripping some screws, so now I need to buy a new carb.
Its a peace 50cc 5 stroke .
Also I have an oil leak that appears to be coming from valve cover( It started leaking profusely right after I took the valve cover off and put it back on. How expensive is a gasket?

No you didnt hijack. I think its a vac leak. I still have a serious leak from the valve cover. I took it off and retorqued the bolts 3 times and made sure there wasn't any dirt between the surfaces.
I'm almost about to just drop the motor/tranny out od the scooter so I can put it on my work bench and better access stuff. So far all I see is one bolt near the center stand area and another bolt on the suspension as all thats holding it to the frame? (Other than all the electrical and fuel connections I need to tend to as well

Got it to start b it it bogs down like its flooding then really starts to pick up in revs. Almost as if it was running too rich.
Luckily this breakdown came at the cold snap that is winter and weather has been to cold to ride anyways, so I'm not at a huge loss. I took the valve cover off yesterday thinking it might be a stuck valve causing my running problems; now the valve cover leaks oil... So I gotta take care of that issue as well.
I'm almost considering doing a big bore kit on this thing while ive got some time, and a vehicle to use in my scooters down time.
This scooter is quickly becoming the beater scooter, speedo doesn't work, miles odometer doesn't work, high beam bulb blows about Every 2 weeks now, seat bucket supports (the plastic tubes that the bolts go through) are bent and broke causing a weird seating angle , and I'm missing a couple pieces of body plastics. ,
