I just wanted to post on here the great experience I had with Mike McDaniel at Lance Power Sports. When I posted that I bought a Duke, Mike PM'ed me telling me to contact him if I had any needs or questions. Needless to say, I had both. Mike was more than cordial and was very easy to contact. He took care of me not only with the items I requested but with a few goodies. The prices were excellent, better than any I found on the internet, the service was quick and reasonable and Mike was eager to give good advice. I would highly recommend them to anybody that needs help or products. I will be dealing with him again fo sho!

Latest update,
Pulled out the carb and took it apart. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. The idle jet was partially plugged so I cleaned everything spic and span. I decided today to put it back in and just as a tip, since there are 4 hoses attached to it, I took a picture of it, send it to myself and printed it out, that way I could refer to it when re-installing the carb so that all the hoses were attached correctly. I also decided to put the new starter and solenoid in that came the other day. Got everything installed and it spun over much better and quicker due to the new starter using less volts and it fired right up. It also idled much smoother probably due to cleaning the carb. Right now I think the best thing to do is to ride it since it has not been ridden in such a long time.
Now that I got it running for the time being, I started noticing how DIRTY it is. I can't wait to do some maintenance and cleaning and make it look pretty again.

Ditto on the white stuff. I had better luck with my Roketa but I had to put a different battery in it. Fired right up for the lady that bought it.

Had that happen on my 150 about 2 miles from home. SUCKED pushing it back. I ended up buying a new cable cost was like $15.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have IGNITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After recharging the battery, I pulled the plug out to reduce the compression and spun the motor over. I replaced the plug, sprayed some gas in the back of the carb, hit the starter and she fired right up. Stayed running too, not like it used up what I sprayed in and died. I am still going to clean out the carb and replace the fuel with fresh but that is for warmer weather.
I am now an official 250 owner.
