I just upgraded to a '06 Burgman 400. This thing is sweet! Nice and smooth on the bumps, and no problem at freeway speeds. Found a few on Craigslist, and this one had 600 miles on it. Unfortunately I'm in Minnesota and there is snow on the ground, and the temps are getting too cold to comfortably ride. I get to look at it all winter in the garage...
I'll keep my Chinese 150 around, in hopes the wife will learn to ride. I don't regret my first scooter as I have learned so much about them, and put a lot of miles on in the 2 seasons I've owned it.

My Roketa clone takes a lot of cranking before it finally starts. Scoot has been running great for the last year, but this is new.
The battery seems to be cranking slower these days, but I'd think it would start it. Unless there is not enough voltage for the CDI/coil?
I've got about 5000 china miles since my last valve adjustment. Would valves out of adjustment cause hard starting?
Thanks,
Jon

I just had a similar problem since I've been messing with my variator weights. Turns out the last 2 of my "Variator Glide Keys" (spacers) went missing or shreded, leaving my variator locked and the rollers not moving at all.
It's a 5 min job to check out the above suggestions.
Let us know what you find.

Thanks Cruiser, that helps. I've got them in wrong.
Hi Rich, thanks. My scooter has been running great for a while now....knock on wood.

I'm not sure how to install them? There is a pointy side, and all the other sides are flat.
I've had some trouble with regular roller weights going flat on one side, so I thought I'd try the sliders from ScrappyDog. I did put them in a couple of ways, but it doesn't seem right.
Am I ok using my stock variator, or do I need one that is built for slider weights?
Thanks,
Jon

I got it ordered up, plus an Iridium Spark Plug.
Thanks for the help!

I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue?
I bought a performance coil from Scrappy Dog, but today I've had the wire fall off the plug 3 times. It doesn't seem to snap on like my old one did.
Any ideas for a better, tighter connection?
Thanks.

Try searching my posts. I had that problem once. I have a youtube video of it. Got mine fixed with some labor and lok-tight.

Did you notice any metal shavings in the oil when you drained it?
A video might be helpful if you can get one.
I had that problem this spring. I found a loose nut on the crank shaft inside the motor. I'll try to find other pictures.
Does it sound like mine did:
