This Burgman 400 is on sale for 1700. It has no battery and the back has what they call "cosmetic damage." It looks like more than cosmetic to me. How much do you think it would cost to fix? I attached a photo. I am thinking of getting it and a kit for a trike. For another $1300 you could find a newer Burgman that is near perfect. As stated the Tupperware for the Burgmans is expensive. This video might show you what parts are missing and what you might need if you want to look it up:

Cool, I'll clean it up and put it on Craigslist...I'll start high at $600 and see what happens.

2006 Roketa. I think it is the same as a JM Star? 6200 miles or so. I'm going to put it on CL soon, but not sure how much to ask? I've done all the PDI, upgrades and I'd still be riding it, but I upgraded to a Burgman. It's not perfect, I've tipped it over a couple of times so some scratches in the paint. Kind of a goofy picture... Attachments:

Jon you can put an icon of it in your signature Dave! Jon_C from BUSA. Thanks, I figured that out. I like it! BTW on an unrelated note: I'm loving the Givi windshield, put on about 120 miles yesterday. I don't think I'll need to cut it down as I thought.

Hi Don, I'm in New Brighton. Get a hold of me sometime if you want to ride. Stillwater is always a nice ride, and places to grab a beer (or wine). Jon

I've been a Respiratory Therapist for 24 years at an acute care hospital.
I was a part time firefighter for 9 years in my community, but had to quit that due to issues with confined space (a little claustrophobic).

I'd like to get my Ham license just so I can legally listen to my scanner in my car. Been into scanning for a while, and use a Uniden BCD396XT.
I've used it for storm spotting too, saw my first tornado last summer.

Thanks all.
Now that I can comfortably ride on the freeway, I'm planning on using it for my main transportation rain or shine.
I figure my Tahoe gets about 12 miles/gal. The burgman should average 65 miles/gal. So if my math is right I'll save $214 for every 1000 miles driven @ $3.15/gallon of gas.
But it is a blast to ride. The day I bought it I hit an indicated 90mph on an open stretch of freeway and still had a bit to go. The speedometers on these are exactly 10% off from what I have read.

TourMaster is good stuff...but I got a bit of sticker shock.
Yeah they are pricey I gotta admit, but they've held up great under some pretty hard use. You might try Heated Clothing Outlet, they're a lot cheaper but sometimes they have limited sizes and slight defects. I've bought from them and they're an OK bunch. Rich
That's a little better! I saw some things I'm interested in, like the pant with the armor for protection. I've bookmarked it and I'll keep an eye out in case my size comes in. Thanks!

Bashan that TourMaster is good stuff...but I got a bit of sticker shock.
I did buy a nice Scorpion jacket that blocks the wind very well and is full of armor for protection. It did pretty good at 32 degrees last week.

Thanks guys,
I have thought about heated clothing, and am going to look into it further. I've heard it is good stuff.
