Hey, Jim I'm more interested in the zodiac. On their site they only show white as a color, hope they offer more choices. Also why did they change to an air cooled engine. Now I gotta find a sucker to by the magnum for more than its worth, cause I don't have room in the garage to park three trikes. Roy

John I haven't really had time to work on the explorer. I did clean up several ground connections. I am now thinking it has more than one electrical problem. It has been getting down to about 10 degrees at nite here and with the rain and Ice we had earlier this week. I got busy fixing a lot of frozen locks and broken keys. Now I got some family events I have to attend, So probably won't get to the scooter till next week..
I do many google searches. Just not on the cdi yet.

Hi, and welcome. That is a nice looking scoot ya got. I'd go with a black trunk. This is a real good forum, more laid back than some and we do have some fun. There are lots of knowledgeable folks that can help you with any scoot problems you may encounter. Hey Alley, you braggin' 'bout that hotrod trike again? Roy

No complaints from me. I personally don't care What type of text color you use, the type of fonts ect.. I don't even care if you want to type in all caps.. I also don't mind your post about your cats either. I have two. One male His name is Sarge He is 14 years old and my female's name is Zelda she is 16 years old. I also have a dog named Sierra. I just don't post much about them.

I'm running out of time and have to go. Glad you got the hose to quite leaking. Some of the other folks will probably chime in to help with your other problem.

Ok, if it is 1/4 inch hose it should work. The barb on the filter may be 3/16 inch. Do like John said clean the goop off then trim a little of the hose try to get it flat on the end. The clamp also looks a little to far on the hose. Try to get it closer to the end. If the clamp screw has a hex head on it use a wrench instead of a screwdriver. But beware that if you try to get it to tight the clamp may strip out.

It is hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like you have a 1/2 inch hose and are trying to clamp it on a filter that has a 1/4 inch barb. You need to get a fitting/barb that is 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch and a short piece of 1/4 inch hose. they should have those at the auto parts store or hardware store. Or you can get a smaller tube and put on the filter barb and slip the 1/2 inch hose over it then it will clamp tight.

Depending on where the oil is misting/leaking. It is most likely the gasket is bad. It fits in a groove around the face of the cover. some times they do not stay in the groove, then when you tighten the cover it pinches the gasket. Or it may have just dried out and is cracked. It may be misting out of the crank case vent tube where it connects to the cover also. this is an L-shaped fitting with a rubber hose attached to it.

Hey lady, welcome back. Alley is right the carb. is probably all varnished up and the float valve is stuck open. You can try cleaning it like he said, but if you don't get all the varnish out of the bowl area little chunks may come loose and plug up the jets later. Good luck.

I know several people that work in the Harley plant here in Kansas city and none of them bad mouth my Chinese scoots. Most Harley owners don't realize how much of their bikes are made in another country.

This a 94 ford explorer. with a 4.0 engine. But not to worry I have a chiltons shop program. I'm thinking it's a bad ground. This is just my luck though My 96 explorer is in the shop getting new heads put on it. Normally I don't pay for mechanic work, but I am getting to lazy lately. and just don't have the time.

Yes it is. So far I haven't had a chance to give it a test ride. Just been playing around with it in the garage. In the meantime I need to chase down a non charging issue on my truck so won't get to play with this for a little while.
