raford3, If she got the charger she mentioned in one of her other threads it is the same as mine. It is a good charger/maintainer.

There is a couple of things that need to be addressed before you convert your headlights. 1) legality, I don't care if you convert your lights to hid's but your local fuzz might. Some states it is illegal to convert stock lights. 2) Are you lights a/c or d/c ? If they are ac you will have to convert the power to d/c. 3) The kind of stock lights you have. Are they incandescent or halogen. 4) Do you have a projector type housing? Some people are trying these. eshop.ktautopart.com/motorcycle-hid-projector/kt-mt1.htmlRoy

Your manual says 5 whole amps. Mine says 4amps but it came with a 7 amp battery. I still have the stock battery in it. I agree with jct842 you should get the biggest one that will fit in the battery box.

Maybe all that new found torque is to much for the bolts and caused them to work loose.

Thank's for the heads up. You should go through the whole scoot at least once a year at the start of riding season to check all the bolts. you will spot potential problems and can solve them before they get serious. You were lucky It wasn't worse.

The idle speed screw should be turned counter clockwise to slow the idle down. Lefty loosey. check to make sure the throttle cable has a little slack. If it is tight the butterfly in the carb. won't close all the way and you will not be able to adjust the idle speed down.

usually the first thing they ask is "how fast does it go?" I always tell them "not fast enough" Then its "where did you get it?" I say "China". I mess with them a little bit ;D and the conversation usually carries on. I meet lots of new people interested in scooters when I ride.

Here is my gps 1) Garmin Nuvi 1300 2) about $150. There is cheaper models and more expensive models with more features. I got this one for the screen size. 3) It is close to constant. It uses time/ distance to calculate speed but is updated about every sec. I use it in all my vehicles and rarely look at the stock speedometer. I have owned this one for a little over a year. 4) It is fairly simple. If I can use it anybody could.

What kind of scooter is this? What is the model of dash. Maybe I can find a wiring schematic if I know what kind of scooter and dash these are.

My koso digital dash has two settings 100 oms and 500 oms. It can't be to complicated as there is only two wires coming off the sensor and doesn't really matter which way they are hooked up.

Does the digital dash have a menu to change and calibrate the sensor buy choosing from a list of values or inputting your own value. Should be some what like calibrating the speed.

The fuel sensor is basically a variable resistor. different manufactures use different values. Use an ohm meter connected to the sensor wires and move the float up and down to determine the value of the resistance. Is your digital dash able to compensate for this?

It is an 8 pole/4 wire dual ignition stator. Will an 11 pole stator fit on a 139 engine? If so it will be easy to swap parts. But then it wouldn't be a diy project and I wouldn't be able to say I done it. I can rewire the stator for next to nothing. I have lots of magnetic wire of various sizes lying around, left over from winding my own transformers. It would only cost for a new regulator.
