what's a center stand? you might be able to drill it out but I would not go to big. Still might keep an eye out for wear on the bolt also. Roy

Hello and welcome imitebewrong, That sure is a nice scoot and a good deal. I'm no expert here but have done a few brake jobs over the years. from your post sounds like the master cylinder is bad. Don't know if you can rebuild them, but probably easier to replace. Not sure. on the parts for this particular scoot, but somebody here will have the answer. This is a good bunch of people with lots of knowledge.

Ya. I should of sent it back, but that'S a P.I.T. A. I just Planed a few thousands off. It will increase the compression a little. The valves are probably to big for this little head the valve faces are very thin on the edges. If they hold out to the abuse I'm gonna give them I'll be surprised. I got the valves out by making a tool. I cut two slots in the opposite sides of a 17mm socket put a screwdriver type handle an it. worked good getting them out. but getting them back in is a little more difficult. Trying to overcome the spring pressure with one hand and installing the small keepers with the other.

What type of valve spring compressor do you use? The head I got from scrappy has a big gouge in it, probably from the valve spring compressor. I have three different kinds an none of them will work good on this head.

A locksmith should be able to make a key if they have the right key blank. If the lock has a code stamped on it they may be able to cut a key by code. If not they may make a key by hand. It may cost $25- $50 depending on method they use. And of course this will vary from shop to shop.

out of gas

I ran out of gas today. This is the first time it has ever happened to me. I always fill up when the tank gets to 1/4 full. well I found out the gas gauge is not accurate. I was only three blocks from my destination. So I decided to just push it . Now let me tell you pushing a two wheel scooter is hard enough. There is not a good way to push a trike. They are heavier than a two wheel and the rear tire kept running over the back of my leg. If it was any bigger I would have just locked it up and left it. Now I'm out of gas. Don't think I'm going to let this happen again. Got me a spare gas can now. And now I know where empty is on the gauge and how many miles it gets to a tank full.

89newbie, Most lock manufactures make locks with a certain amount of key codes Chinese locks are no different. The scooter manufacture gets these locks in lots of various amounts. In that lot their could be any number of locks with the same code. Add to that the loose tolerances of cheap locks. and your key may unlock several of these locks.

I called scrappy today about the wrong camshaft. The guy on the phone said I would have to contact tech support to see if they could help me fix problem. I told him I don't need tech support and the solution to the problem is for me to send it back in exchange for the right one. Or they could send me an engine to fit the camshaft. ;D H didn't think that was a good option. So I just ordered another cam.

good one alley. yes I know it's not the right cam. Question is what engine is it for and is it stock or performance. It has no markings on it and the bubble bag it was sent in isn't marked. I ordered an A9 cam for a 50cc. What is stock lobe height on a stock cam compared to a A9 cam? Now I got to wait till I get the right cam to do this build. Don't want to tear into the engine twice.
