Yes, I remember well, the gas companies were telling us there was a world wide shortage of gas. That alone was bs. Not only was that scare the fleecing of americans, but there was also plenty of hot air and gas from the execs that were selling us the "shortage".
Also, I really believe there are workable alternatives to gas but they are being "kept under cover" by the gas companies and the lobbyists who lobby washington. A workable alternative would force the price to come down. OH MY!!!!We certainly couldn't have that! I am so sick of the lies that are being told to get prices up. How gullible do they think we are? How gullible do they think allthe people in the world are? The sad truth is that most people know they are getting fleeced but feel there is nothing they can do about it.
Just think, If everyone, every single person, in the northern hemisphere, world wide, rode a scooter or motorcycle for 7 or 8 months, then the southern hemisphere did the same thing for their summer, Imagine how demand would drop. I smile just thinking of it.

well at least your scooter is running Which is more than I can say about my brand new 54B right now  I filled up a 2gallon gas can today with 91 octane and it cost me 8 dollars!!!! I filled up my van with 87 octane and it cost me almost 60 dollars My internet went up (in price, not speed), my cable went up, it seems like everything is going up but my income!!!! |

I usually but the tomato plants but this year, I am going to seed them inside. I will probably buy some seeds tomorrow when I am out getting my battery checked. When I lived in south carolina, our tomato growing season (on the coast) was 8 or nine months of the year. Here in Ohio, it incompasses May (plant them) June, july water fertilize and wait. Aug and sept tomatoes ready to eat. That really sucks. I am used to having tomatoes in May, thru nov in SC. But at least Ohio is more scooter friendly than SC so I guess I am glad I live here.

ccprof, I agree, we could send it to jr and tell him to use it to fertilize his garden, No snow here, I thinkit missed us but it is cold. I said it before, and i'll say it again, I HATE WINTER!!!!

Another pj exclusive. You know, if marketers in the USA would start showing scooter commercials, the attitude here in the US toward scooters would probably change. Why do we never see scooter commercials here in the US? The Vespa one with the dancing girls would go over big here. So would the rest of them.

Hey, I just got an idea. We should put together an album of our members. Make it co-ed and put it on facebook. We could call it: "drum roll" Scooterdoc guys and gals around the world(Or any other name) open for suggestion.
All we have to do is each of us submit a pic to jr. It would be for fun. not to worry if you aren't perfect. None of us are. We could proudly show ourselve's off for what we are. Everyday scooter people.
