Boy did that video bring back memories. I was there. I was in my teens in the 60's for the whole decade except the last two years of it. It was an absolutely incredible time and I wish all younger people had experienced the 60's. (The only exception was the Viet-nam war, that was the only bad thing about the decade.)

She was horrible, her singing was horrible, and her messing up of words (regardless of her being caught up in the emotions and losing her place, as was her excuse) showed her intelligence level. Talented she is not.
I agree, Bowie would have been sensational. Always did like him. THe oldsters do it better!!

Luke that is hysterical. I laughed out loud. I think that the attitude and the way we think about older people is about to change with the baby boomers coming of age now. We were such a free, spirited bunch of people in the 60's. And most of us continue to be so. Baby boomers will not have the "old" attitude that past seniors had. For an example: More babyboomers on scoots and motorcycles now. Didn't happen so much in the past. Motorcycles were vehicles for the "youths" and also for the "wild ones". Yea, Attitudes towards seniors are changing. We are as young as we ever were and this is a great time in history to be a retired senior. We have a lot of good times left to live.

Would have rather have seen some oldtimers rockers. I really think the guys my age put on the best shows. Any way, the halftime show was really a been there done that thing. Lots of people with lots of choreography and lights but nothing new and certainly nothing spectacular. ( You really have to consider how spoiled we've gotten with modern technology though, can you imagine what the reaction would have been if we had seen this show in 1960?)

since most chinese 150 scoots are air cooled, how can you put a 250 cc on one. Will you have to add a radiator and a whole bunch of other stuff?

You don't need to vacumn the fuel line. Josh at Sup. told me they inspect and clean the fuel line before they put the gas in to take it for its trial run. He also said the fuel hoses are better quality now than they used to be when chinese scooters were first imported and they got a deserved bad rep in the early part of the 2000 decade. Josh also said you can leave the oil in for the first 300 miles as it is a break in oil. but change it after that. I am going to change the crank case oil, the radiator fluid, and do a good burp on mine. Suppowsports also changes the spark plug to a US good one, and the main fuse. They really do the best PDI around.

Well, some stuff is necessary (in my totally uneducated opinion) right away. I don't know if I can do it though, through ignorance and also because I am not very strong.
1.Common sense tells you that all screws should be checked to see if they are tight. I will do this right away but the silicon on all screws will come later. 2. Sup pow. sports replaces the fuse for me so I won't have to do that (that should be done right away also I think). 3. all fluids should be replaced right away 4.The carb screw should have the non permanenty locktite applied right away for sure. (I don't think I can do this stuff) 5. fill tires to appropriate pressure
Those are the things I would prioritize for immediate doing.
I would think you could put off some things for a short while. Like replacing fuel line hoses. Even the cheap ones should last a little while. I would think this could wait for a couple of months I also think that putting silicone on all the screws could wait for a few months. (not too long as rust would be a factor).
OK, now, please advise and correct and add. I am really a virgin when it comes to this stuff.

I hope this info is wrong. I found a site that tells you everything you are supposed to do to your chinese scooter for your own pdi. It is overwhelming. It is a pdf file and is too large for me to upload here (I zipped it and tried but it was too large) I need your opinions. so please go to www.family-motorsports.com. On the left side of the page click on scooters mopeds, then scroll down to "chinese scooter tuneup". Please read the whole article and give me your opinions. It talks about sanding rust off the frame of your new bike, and repainting with rustoleum., replacing belts, etc. It seems like there is very little of the original bike left by the time they do the pdi. They talk about taking EVERY screw from the bike and coating it with silicon and replacing it. Please just read this and tell me if all this is really necessary. Thanks. I am feeling discouraged now.

Well, I still can't say enough about SPS.com. I ordered my new 250cc 54B in the beginning of January. I asked them to hold it for me until March 1st. ( It is freezing and snowy here in Ohio). I called a couple of weeks later to order a helmet (full face and bluetooth) and they are going to ship it with the bike. They gave me half off their price (they wanted 169 dollars and gave me the vcanblinc for 84.00, I thought that was extremely reasonable. Anyway, March 1st is the day they are going to ship it so I should get it within a week of that. They promised to do a good pdi on it like they did on the 150cc I had previously ordered from them. Time seems to be draggingggggggg ssssssssssooooooo slow. Will winter never be over?
