Well, it seems like it has taken forever. My scooter is supposed to arrive sometime between next tues and friday. I talked to Josh today and he said the pdi is being wrapped up today and it may even ship out today. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself I sure hope the weather improves here quickly so I can do the stuff I have to do to my new bike and ride, baby, ride!

Lets go back even further. Besides dos, do you all remember the big floppy disks before machines had hard drives? My first computer was like that but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called. Went to my doc today for some simple stuff and I mentioned to him that sometimes I forget the names of stuff I want to talk about and he said that was normal. NORMAL!!!!! well, maybe it is but I find it damn frustrating. If the name of my first computer comes to my simple mind, I will post it. It is good for a short laugh.

mthomas, you are funny. Building a computer today is easy, especially since windows does the configuring by itself. I used to build 286's back in the day when you had to configure all the(ugh, my mind just went blank and I can't think of what all the stuff was called. Oh, I am getting so old ) Oh yeah, the interrupts and the rest of the settings. Now that was a hassel. Used to write HTML and Java when it first came out also and there wasn't software to do it for you. Now I can't remember a thing because I haven't done it for so long. All I remember was the first line was <html>. lol the rest is gone. My mind is a tabula rosa.

mctojs, I envy you. What a beautiful county. I live in the middle of ohio where there is absolutely nothing. No beaches no ocean, no palm trees, and a long cold winter. You have it made!!!! If my daughter and grandchildren didn't live here, I would be long gone for greener and warmer, sandy pastures (oops, I mean shores)

kwikiscoot, I am glad to hear that you are keeping yourself busy by helping out. I'm just like you. I could never leave the site and go elsewhere. I would have to help out in order to keep my sanity. What you are doing is hard, but you will be blessed for it. How is your wife holding up? Is she helping out also?

After attempting to replace the ignition in my 150 and being unable to reach under the wheel well to remove 2 hex nuts that have to be removed to get the front panel off, to get the dashboard off (yes, unbelievable that the front and dash are integrated so you have to remove the front to get the dash off) and being unable to accomplish it, I have decided I want the lift. I found it for 695 dollars (OUCH) at this site www.directlift.ca/pro-cycle.htm. Vader where did you get yours and did you find it cheaper?

I read about it this morning and saw some pics but had to stop looking because it was too painful. I pray that the people who are alive and trapped get some comfort and a quick rescue. I am glad that you are ok (at least physically)kwikiscoot. You are in my prayers that you also will be comforted. How you must hurt. I pray that any one near and dear to you is unhurt. I pray that our mighty God will comfort all those in pain. May God and the Holy Trinity be with you all.

mad collie, I don't believe anyone took offense to your comment. We are all adults here and we should respect each others right to be an individual. Some believe, some don't. And while I will teach to anyone who wants it, religion is not something that can be forced on anyone, nor should it be. We all have choices. And I am thankful that we are free to have choices. So, I don't know how this discussion got started but we are all in agreement with you madcollie that we wish the best for pj and you too!!!!

Not everyone gets an enlarged prostate with age (me, for instance) rofl. But I am getting a new full face helmet delivered with my bike and it has blue tooth. I have never tried a full face helmet before. I don't wear glasses. I do wear sunglasses when I wear my open face helmet to protect my eyes, but with my full face, I won't have to worry about my eyes. I do wonder though, if I am going to miss the wind on my face. (I won't, however, miss the bugs hitting my face).

zug zug, i couldn't agree with you more. I think that sometimes grounding is necessary, or taking away some privileges, or spanking, or sending to bed early or any number of things are necessary for breaking the rules that are set in advance. I think the public humiliation on the corner is too extreme. It will make him hate his mother and make him more angry and he already seems like a very angry young man. I believe that all children need rules and descipline. They also need to be given age appropriate responsibilities. No rules, no responsibilities, n o discipline equals a child that doesn't feel loved, doesn't learn how to function in the world. That is one reason I am so worried about my daughters children. They have no responsibility. How are they ever going to function as adults?

It's either 10 percenters or 1 percenters, I can't remember. BUt anyway, they are motorcycle groups that are wild rebels and break the law. THey are called 1 (or 10) percenters because they are a small percentage of riders that give all motorcyclists a bad name. They are the "social outcasts" of motorcycling and are proud of it.

Oh I am so psyched. I found a very nice motorcycle club in Columbus and they had a link to a womens club in columbus call wow (women on wheels). Several of the members are RN's or retired RN's and some of the women are my age. I am so psyched. Now I can't wait til my bike gets delivered and I can't wait to go on outings with both clubs. yea.
zugzug, thank you for telling me about meetup.com. I had done searches thru search engines and had come up with nothing except for some 10 percenters (which I don't want). You probably know what 10 percenters are. if you don't I will explain it. ANy way, because you told me about meetup.com, I found both these groups. Thank you so much.

no it won't zugzug. We are all adults here and most of us can agree to disagree. So far though, the majority of opinions here favor spanking. as do I.
Public humiliation seems to be running half and half. I don't like it.
It is nice to be able to discuss views in an adult manner with everyone putting in their opinion.

I live in Grove City. We have a ton of scooters around here but no club. We just don't know each other. We wave as we pass. Well I want to change that. If you live in the Columbus, Ohio area and are interested in a scooter club, Please contact me here. Thanks, McAlli
