I wouldn't worry about the brown/green wire at this point. I would make sure I had brake lights and the scooter will start normally like it should. If you get that down then we'll move on to other things.

You are correct on the turn signals, brown/green, not sure? What do you have it plugged into and where does this wire go to?

I Meant to put, my headlight assembly has no brown wire. but like you see in my picture, this new harness has one. Most harnesses are geneirc meaning that they are made for several type scooters, brown goes to tail and instrument lights most of the time, it need be we'll tie it in later. Blue should be hi beam, white lo bean green ground.

They are backwards, Yellow/red is to the start button, but you're not understanding what I'm saying. When you press the start button you are sending a ground = red/yellow to the starter relay. Yellow/green = 12Vdc with the key on and the brake handle pressed. So on the male plug which should be to the starter relay make sure when it plugs up to the female end of the harness the red/yellow matches up to the red/yellow on the each plug and the green on the pigtail plugs into the yellow/green on the harness. If need be pull the wires out of the plug on the male end by inserting a tiny screwdriver in the little end slot and pulling them out and re-inserting them in the correct place. JR

May I ask what Proboards has to do with this thread? FYI Proboards does NOT get into any forum's matters, business or disputes unless there is a clear violation of TOS and there are none here. Even insults are not a violation of the TOS.I'll tell you what Professor. In the words of your friend, "I can ban you just because I don't like you." A Mod doesn't get down and dirty with another member and then ban him just because the member ticks him off. I'm sure Proboards would agree after seeing the insults said Mod has hurled at me. I've behaved like an adult and refrained from insults. Professional courtesy should rule a Mods actions, not childish hormones. I'm sorry to say KZ they will not. Proboards is the largest free forum software company out there with thousands of sites to run, they don't monitor all these sites and make it clear that the admins run the show. They don't even handle any problems but have a seperate site used for what they label as the Abuse Team. Insults are all a matter of opinion and there are none here that merit any action from them, belong to the Support Forum for PB and have seen many complaints a lot worse than this all go answered as "if you don't like the way it was handled move on", simple as that. When it all comes down to it this whole thread is a pissing match about what or how someone should ride or not ride and it's went way overboard and is down right silly now. My thoughts and best wishes go to your wife, been there lost my father and other loved ones to cancer. In the best interest of the forum this thread is now locked, time to move on. JR

Now that made me cry, i miss Bluefront, he just disappeared in the thin air, a lot of speculations on how he disappeared, some said he died, some say he just quit the forum but continue living, some even posted a mortuary informations about him, that his scooter apparently hit by a truck and rolled down the ravene and he died., ole earthman knows everything that happened, he lives very near bluefront's house. i don't know which to believe now,, it's remained a mystery in the history of scootdawg...anyway, i wish Earthman would show up in this forum and shed light to this issue.. is medman hiding him in his forum(SR)?....aaanyway! What? Bluefront = Missouri Earthdude = South Carolina, now if that's close to him then that makes me close to Medman in California. BTW no rumor, the man is dead.

More power is not the answer WOW! Now that is coming from someone that supposedly raced dirt bikes. Not hurling insults just trying to get you to understand that what your trying to sell is VERY BAD ADVICE and you should know better. That poor explanation that the speed limit is only 55 now that is someone that does not know the real world out there. Whatever the speed limit is on any road you can bet your bottom dollar 99% of the traffic is doing AT LEAST 5-10mph faster. So that puts putt putts behind the 8 ball doesn't it or should I say on the grill of a car. Alleyoop Hmmmm. Let's see. So that puts putt putts behind the 8 ball doesn't it or should I say on the grill of a car. Where have I seen this insult before? Something about my brains being splattered, because I did it, on another forum somewhere. Hmmmm, now where was that? Ask that Admin about Proboards. May I ask what Proboards has to do with this thread? FYI Proboards does NOT get into any forum's matters, business or disputes unless there is a clear violation of TOS and there are none here. Listen, red/yellow to red/yellow. The starter relay doesn't care which is which as long as it has a ground = red/yellow from start button and 12Vdc = yellow/green = brake light which is 12Vdc with brake handle pressed. So if the pig tail on the relay one wire is green and the other red/yellow then hook red/yellow from harness to red/yellow on pigtail and yellow/green on harness to green on relay pigtail.
When key is on and brake handle pressed you send 12Vdc to brake lights and starter relay. The relay only engages when you press the start button = ground and complete the circuit.
Now on the brake light switches on the handle, you have a two to one split connector and to feed each switch right and left you use the black = 12Vdc with key on to both switches.
Then to send out 12Vdc on either brake handle you then tie the two green/yellows to a single green/yellow going back to the brake lights/starter relay.
Now the pigtails on the brake light switches may not be black and yellow/green but that doesn't matter just choose the same color on each switch, tie them into one single black 12Vdc wire then the other two colors to the yellow/green going back to the brake lights and starter relay.
Even the key switch may not match apples to aples to the harness, this is very common. Most of the time the red, black and green match but the engine kill wire may be brown/white and tie into black/white or visa versa.
The turn signals have a black 12Vdc going to the flasher and if it's a 3 wire version it'll have a green ground and a gray output = going to turn signal switch. Very dark green = horn and it'll probalby have a light green too = ground. The very dark green comes for horn switch and again has a black 12Vdc feed to it. Black = 12Vdc with key on period nothing else.
Also it is common to have a single two wire plug up front with a black and green that goes no where, it is a accessory 12vdc with ground plug that one can use for something added down the road.
Also your start button is probably a 3-wire combo with the engine kill switch. Engine kill switch will have green = ground plus black/white = CDI kill wire, it could be brown/white and the start button will have a short jumper from the engine kill switch = ground and of course the red/yellow going to starter relay. On the short jumper from engine kill switch it may be green but I've seen the chinese use yellow, pink, blue, etc. but it will be ground.
To know if it is a 3-wire combo with the engine kill switch in the off position the scooter will not make a sound, a 2-wire version will turn over but not start because with the kill switch in the off postion the CDI is grounded out.
