 2009 Redstreak naviator 250, Crank making noise.. Any dealer or Mechanic that can repair engine?sounds just like crank bearings have variator and belt off scooter and slight sound coming right from shaft that variator fits on...Bought scooter new and SMF cycle in newnan Ga. would not stand by warranty... been sitting because of lack of money!!! lol!!! Cranked 1-14-2013 running great except for crank noise... Somebody please help

The 906 will work for you. It is only 12mm shorter. You will get a bit more punch on take off but loose a little top end with a shorter belt. Anyway it will work on your scooter if you need a belt and can not find the 918. I have a 2009 Redstreak navigator 250 and dealer took my 918 off and put 906 on, no problem except the noise i have posted on... |

You sure it is the crankshaft and not the STARTER CLUTCH? Can you take a VIDEO of it idleing? Alleyoop I have taken variator and belt off and hear slight knocking at crank shaft that variator fits on... Thanks what do you think? |

Redstreak 250 Navigator bought new, crankshaft noise with belt off
Need somebody to replace crankshaft in this 244cc engine
Any dealer or mechanic close to Newnan,ga. 30 miles south of Atlanta Ga.

Thanks, we carry alot of NCY GY6 parts and have alot of cn/cfmoto 250 parts also. we have a new ported head and cams for the 250's that really wake them up Need to know if you would rebuild a Redstreak 250 navigator engine for me. bought it new and believe it is just a crank bearing..4000 miles |

Well I changed oil 4 times in 4400 miles and it's been driven easy!!! Ok what's your replacement estimate $$ new crank and labor??? I'm sitting down!!! lol!!!

swh22 has found the problem with his 250 scooter!!! I was having variator noise so I bought a brand new variator and sliders, Didn't stop the noise so I finally took the variator off and cranked scooter and noise was still there!!! I guess the crankshaft bearing is bad on my 2009 redstreak 250 navigator with 4400 miles on it!!! I wish dealer would have found problem before my warranty ran out but you really can't tell the difference in sound from bad bearing and weight clatter from variator!!! I was going to put a washer behind the variator but I heard bearing noise so that kind of sat me in the dirty floor looking at my wallet!!! lol!!! Now I'm wondering what's it going to cost me to replace bearing!!! I hope my harley don't tear up anytime soon!!! lol!!!

I've installed a brand new variator with dr. pulley 19g sliders and still have rattling sound !!! I'm wondering if I could put some grease on those sliders to quiet them down? stumped in ga.

I'm fixing to install a variator with cooling slots in it with 19g sliders!!! What rpm torque spring and clutch springs would you recommend for performance in redstreak 250, not race performance but just street perf!!! I'm going with kidnmeparts shorty clutch with bell!!!Thanks!!!
