Hey guys, got another one!
This guy brought this scooter to me and told me that it needed a new battery. Tested the battery with a load, and sure enough, bad battery. Bought a new 4LBS battery, charged it for about 4 hours, plugged it into the scooter, and still won't start.
I called the guy back and now he says that it WOULD kick start, about A YEAR AGO! He also says that it was wrecked right before the electric starter quit working... I had noticed the scuffs and scrapes on the bike's plastics, and the front wheel is UN-aligned.
So now, WHO knows whats wrong! hahaha
1st thing I am going to do is drain the gas, and oil, replace with new. Check for fuel delivery and spark, Ground Connections, etc.
THANKS in ADVANCE for any input GUYS!

Well I'm sure you'll take whatever happened a year ago off the table, it's irrelevant. Yeah, the first thing I would do is make sure I had a decent spark. Anything after that is moot if that's the problem. Does it hit at all? Even sputter? Rich

Rich, I DO HAVE spark, I took the carb off,(With the throttle cable down the middle:BY WEBBER) Cleaned it, strapped it back in, and now, it will start with WOT, BUT it starts POURING gas out of the Exhaust. I mean a MASSIVE amount of gas... Any idea what this could be from Rich? P.S. I can take some pics if it will help you

Thanks A lot Rich, I am NOT a 2 Stroke guy. YET! Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to try and find a service manual, or other 2 strokes spewing gas out of the exhaust. It blows my mind that the engine can run, and STILL spew gas out of the exhaust like that. I have no Idea how a SPARK is even possible in that! haha

Mikey , From what I have read of what your describing . The first thing I would check is your cylinder head . It needs to be thoroughly looked over not only for compression but also for a possible bent intake valve(s) . A bent intake valve that's not seating properly could cause fuel to come out the exhaust and no compression . Your carb wouldn't hurt to be looked at as well. Check your cylinder head first ! willc.

Two stroke has no oil to drain except gearbox and final drive,,, make up a fresh batch of premix and lite that thing,,, and as far as it won't start after an accident I'd check all electrical connections to the starter check starter for mounting tightness to case,,, see if the solenoid wire or even the main has been pinched,,,

Thanks Kaveman, I think it is the Intake Valve not seating, SPOT ON! That sounds like what is happening, the only time I can get it to START is WOT, and when I do it REV's High obviously haha
I did take the carb off and cleaned it, no change, could it be a bad Fuel Valve? I know the Fuel flows VERY FREELY???

One other quick note , also check the cylinder cam shaft for the right timing for tdc and where its supposed to be for ntake and exhaust . If the timing is off of the upper cam shaft and lower crankshaft , that could get a valve bent . The Newer Vespa's are precision made. One little thing off could give you a big headache as it its doing now. willc

Check the cylinder' head thoroughly first ! Both valves . You may need to pick up or borrow a valve spring compressor to get the valves removed for inspection. I would also check the valve seats . Do these first before any more work on the carb ! willc

I am SURE it has REEDS, Guys, I am 4 stroke ALL the WAY, I know very LITTLE about 2 strokes, but Im not driping a little gas out of the exhaust it is Gushing it out, and it will only start with WOT...
As for Pre-Mix, this scooter mixes it on it's own
