WOW!! Wierd stuff on that trike, Can you get a better shot of this box that the hose from the AIR FILTER goes to. Does that BOX have any hoses going to someplace else?
Ok Now check the CANISTER hoses and see if other hoses are connected to it. IF ANYTHING a Vacuum hose should be going to that CANISTER.
Also since you added that extra cleaning pad to the air FILTER, it should now feed it more fuel because you now cut off some more air. Alleyoop

If by CANISTER, do you mean that black box? If you mean the air filter, then no, nothing else is hooked to it. I can check the box, all I have to do is pull 6 panels off the left side. I have already pulled the 6 off the right side 3 times, I'm good at that side. I guess I could practice pulling the left side for a while.

Should there be a hose on the top of this thing-a-ma-bob? No the round canister. Check this canister and see if there are is another hose connected at the bottom and where does it go. Alleyoop

Well, good call on that one. There is a place for another vent line hiding on the bottom of the canister. And it looks like a small vent line. The same size and the lil hose that was stuck in side the line coming from my valve cover. I will go hook that up now and hear what happens.

On this one. I got the bottom smaller line goes to the hose from the valve cover. The middle big one goes to the muffles. On yours it looks like the one from your muffles goes to the top one, Doews that matter? should I change mine?? as for the spare one on mine, I have no place for it to go on my air filter. Should there be a hose on the top of this thing-a-ma-bob? No the round canister. Check this canister and see if there are is another hose connected at the bottom and where does it go. Alleyoop

NO, the VACUUM hose on that canister has to be coming from the INTAKE MANIFOLD, not the one that you found broken off on the VALVE COVER VENT HOSE.

That line goes forward of the gas tank. It is tie wrapped along the frame. It MIGHT go to the dash. I will need to pull panels to find out.

WOW!! you may also have a EVAP Emission system basically a gas tank vent and that Vacuum hose would go to a CHARCOAL CANISTER. If you can look at the top of your gas tank and see if you can see a hose coming off somewhere from the TOP of the gas tank. If so you do have a EVAP system.
So your EGR system DOES NOT HAVE a VACUUM line connected to it and is basically not working like it should, but that would not effect what your current throttle problem is.
Also WHEN DID YOU ADD THE EXTRA FOAM SOAP PAD TO THE AIR FILTER? IF you just did that HAVE YOU CHECKED IF IT TAKES BETTER THROTTLE WITH IT ON? Alleyoop

Standby. after I hooked up that vac line and added the extra air filter pad, when It started up, it did not rev as high. And I think the idle responds quicker. Let it warm up and I will re adjust the mixture and be back.

Well, it starts better and it idles better and it even sounds better, but it still don't idle back down to an idle fast when I hit the throttle. I'm not used to these motors, are they supposed drop like my chevy or ATV does?

1. After listening to your it's hard to tell. You have it in gear and the motor takes a bit to idle down while it's in gear. I do see a problem that I might have with mine tho. I think I have too many teeth on my sprocket, I don't think mine looks like that one. 2. I have the air adjustment turned 3 turns out. Does the idle sound rough to you? smg.photobucket.com/user/hobbles/media/Judy/Trike/trike%20temp/better%20idle.mp4.html

That is not my TRIKE in the VIDEO that is just someones scooter showing how a CVT works.
Hobbs do this let it warm up and then Turn the Fuel Ratio Mixture screw Clockwise 1/4 turn and see if the IDLE(RPMS) GOES UP OR DOWN. YOu want to see WHICH WAY the IDLE(RPMS) go UP that is what you want.
When turning the FUEL MIXTURE SCREW you are LOOKING to GET the HIGHEST IDLE(RPMS) from the ADJUSTMENT. So see WHICH WAY FROM WHERE it is currently SET at the RPMS(IDLE)GO HIGHER which is what you want. THEN take a video of you giving the throttle a quick twist you don't have to open it wide open just a quick little twist because it will take off on you(HAHA). Alleyoop
