Don't forget to ware clean socks and easy on/easy off shoes. They make you take your shoes off at the airport. I was coming back home from Main a few winters ago and I had on monster boots which was a pain in the rear to take off while holding all my crap and hundreds of grumbling people in line behind me at Logan int. airport

hehe you guys are getting me so frikin excited I think your next vacation must be here in SA. JR I would love to watch some football, its your version of our rugby. Rugby is just tougher as they dont have all them padding and helmets and football is a strange game; too many interruptions by the refs, I also want to see a baseball game as well as basketball. Luke I love tacos and burritos with chicken and yes jalapenos hombre hombre. I will visit the whitehouse, smithsonian, science museums, and of course the buriel site for JFK not to mention the vietnam memorial. Also Capitol Hill perhaps tea with Hillary. Coincidental Luke my daughter's boyfriend also comes from Yuma. Tommy if they make me take my shoes off after an 18 hour flight good luck to them.
ccprof you right its just DC between Virginia and Pennsylvania
I will be landing at Dulles airport in DC so lets hope I have an angelic face and they throw the red carpet out. I can't wait.

my first few days here in america,i had a hard time understanding the people, theyr'e too slang for me. they talk engrish very fast. , all i could say was ..Ha? what sir? what ma'am?. if they ask me,how do you do?,,i say.. "i am well to do". and when i address my manager as "sir" my co worker laughed at me.,they don't use the word "sir" here. unless you are a police or in military. And here children would call theyr'e parents with their first names./ And here it's a practice that when a child reach the age of 18,they get out of the parents house and leave alone.(which is good, they become independent) /in my country,a child can live with their parents for as long as he wants,20,30 40,50 years old it's fine,so they end up becoming a mama's boy.lol after i graduated in college,i applied for a tourist visa to US 2x. i was denied twice, the consul said i was single, i had no property, a don't have enough money on the bank, and that i am in the medical field, and she said that i was handsome ,i might end up as an illegal alien and eventually marry a white american with documents. so the verdict?, i was denied of the visa. ...here,one whole dressed chicken will cost you 4 bucks, in my beloved country it'll cost you 1/3 of your daily wage to buy 1 whole dressed chicken. ..just sharing guys! you don't know how happy i am to finally come to america, and become a naturalized US citizen...my only problem was i can't sing the "star spangled banner" i always forget the lyrics.lol ..i remember it starts with the word "Jose"(i'm like??is it in spanish??),,dunno the next line.

We're glad to have you Luke. Kid's leaving home at 18? LOL my friend. THEY may not be here physically but all their stuff still is! Oh - FYI - here in Westsylvania, we still address strangers as "sir" and "ma'am"and most kids till don't call their parents by their first name.

ccprof I don't look like Gary Player and there will be no caddy nor a golf bag with me so they will laugh at me, maybe I can say i'm Lindsay Lohan lol. Luke I like your "Jose" but it is actually "Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light" And its history...read this from Google.
History: In 1814, about a week after the city of Washington had been badly burned, British troops moved up to the primary port at Baltimore Harbor in Maryland. Francis Scott Key visited the British fleet in the Harbor on September 13th to secure the release of Dr. William Beanes who had been captured during the Washington raid. The two were detained on the ship so as not to warn the Americans while the Royal Navy attempted to bombard Fort McHenry. At dawn on the 14th, Key noted that the huge American flag, which now hangs in the Smithsonian's American History Museum, was still waving and had not been removed in defeat. The sight inspired him to write a poem titled Defense of Fort McHenry. The poem was eventually set to music that had originally been written by English composer John Stafford Smith for a song titled "The Anacreontic Song". The end result was the inspiring song now considered the national anthem of the United States of America. It was accepted as such by public demand for the next century or so, but became even more accepted as the national anthem during the World Series of Baseball in 1917 when it was sung in honor of the brave armed forces fighting in the Great War. The World Series performance moved everyone in attendance, and after that it was repeated for every game. Finally, on March 3, 1931, the American Congress proclaimed it as the national anthem, 116 years after it was first written.
Here in SA kids also stay home until graduation or finding a job. My youngest daughter is 21 and still at varsity and living at home. Why not when you have a dad who fills the tank and service the car.
