Re: 2006 Tank GY6 Lost battery charge, changed regulator and diode. Battery charge is spot on and no dead battery anymore.
Problem: Turn signals exceptionally bright and when either brake handle is pressed headlights go waaay brighter.
So b/l switch bad? Shorting to ground? Bad regulator?
Anybody? Before I start drinking.....

I would change the regulator. This should fix your problem.

I suggest gin and tonic water over ice, with a twist of lime.

Man, what a bunch of alkies........my kinda crowd! If it's the regulator all lights should get brighter when you put a little extra drain on the system and it goes ballistic....no? If it's just a few lights then the problem would have to be limited to those circuits IMO. Rich

You need to check the voltage when the lights go bright with a multimeter. I suspect it is a short to ground possibly a bad switch. See if it does it both on hi and low beams
