After reading some posts regarding speedometers, I used my Garmin GPS to check my fairly new Roketa 250 58B. When my scooter speedometer read 48 - 50 the GPS read 40MPH. Is there a way to adjust the scooter speedometer?
I looked at a couple of motorcycle handlebar GPS mounts on Amazon. What type of mount do some of you use?

One question, is your current speedometer reading in KL/M or MPH. Also is it mechanical Speedo or Digital. Usually the Digital are more off than the Mechanical ones. Alleyoop

Accurate speedometer - no such critter. I have a MIO GPS mounted on a sticky disk between my handlebars but its hard to see in bright light.
By the way - Welcome Mike.

speedracer, you are lucky, you must have the only 54B made that is right on, this is a first. All of them have been off 8-10%. mikecop, The most accurate thing on the scooter is the tachometer. At 5 Krpm you are doing close to 50 mph, This is true only once you have the scooter cruising and in its highest cvt ratio. You can mount a bicycle electronic computer, speedo unit for about $20 that is adjustable and very accurate. The Sigma 506 is cheap and works fine, do not use the Schwinn, it only works up to 50 mph. The Chinese speedometer is not adjustable.

I saw where someone painted the face of their mechanical speedo to reflect the actual speeds. Could work on some scooters. Robb

I just may have the most accurate speedometer on a 54B. I have checked it with my GPS along with our towns speed checkers which they setup on various roads.

Mine is also very accurate and right on. I have checked it many times with the Towns Speed Checkers they put up around my house because of the High School near my house. Every time they put them out on the streets I check it. Alleyoop Mine is mechanical:

Alley those town speed checkers must use radar as they are very accurate. Before I had a scooter my car showed the same speed as the checkers did. As soon as you go over the speed limit they blink the mph you are going.

mines way off heres the handle bar mount I got for mine since my scoot has no handle bar showing I mounted it to my mirror, any mount with a 1 and 1/4 inch diameter will work with these popular Chinese mirrors. 19.95 of Ebay for my Tom Tom made by rammounts.com And Scootaway ur the first I have known to have a Chinese scoot with a accurate spedo!

mine is off about 5 when im doing 30 im really doing 25. then when I get to 50 Im really only doing 40, but then if I am going 67 im doing 55. so mine varies its not just 5mph fast or 10mph fast it starts getting off, then off by more and more the faster I go.
