I'm pretty sure that's the Linhai/Yamaha 279cc that they put in a lot of the Trikes. Alley might be able to clue us in on that since it's an Icebear, I'll PM him. If I'm correct it's the punched out version of the 257. If you Google 300cc Icebear Scooter there's quite a few places that come up as sellers. Rich

Killermotorsports was the only place I've seen this in two-wheels, but maybe that's changed - It's usually in a trike version. There's a guy Hulk or Hulk something on this site or on dawg who has one. I just looked for you but could not find the thread. It is very good looking, that's for sure.

I am sure that is what it has a punched out motor like Rich said. I do not know of a REAL 300cc motor they all are mostly punched out and advertised as 300ccs. Same goes for the 250s but the 250s and 150s are pretty close either way up or down. They all round up the displacements on them just like most bump up the Max Top Speeds, then you get one and they are 10mph slower than what was advertised and you think something is wrong with it. Alleyoop P.S just went to IB site and LO and Behold they do tell the truth:
Engine Type:single cylinder, 4 stroke Cooling System:water cooled Drive System:chain Piston Displacement (cc):279.4cc Bore*Stroke:2.87"x2.63" Maximum Power (kw/r/min):14kw/6500r/min(1±6) Maximum Torque (N.m./rpm):21/5500(1±6) Starter System:electric Gears:automatic Overall Length (inches):85.8" Overall Width (inches):31.5" Overall Hight (inches):44.5" Wheel Base (inches):61" Ground Clearance (inches):4.7" Brake (Front/Rear):disc/disc TIRE, Front:130/60-13 TIRE, Rear:130/60-13 Ignition Type:CDI Max. When they advertise them as MC-.... it is from ROKETA, Roketa buys a lot of scoots and the trikes from IB. Yea the prices are up and down of course but then you also have to watch out for the shipping from each. One may be lower than the other but then tacks on shipping while one may say free shipping but a little higher the shipping already included in the price. Alleyoop

Alley, what does this mean? Maximum Power (kw/r/min):14kw/6500r/min(1±6) 1 kilowatt = 1.34102209 hp so its 18.76 hp@6500 rpm plus or minus 100-600 rpm

Thanks Alley. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. So it's not the 25 HP Killer Motor Sports advertizes it as having. Is IceBear a good product?

It is the same as my Magnum 300 by IB and I can tell you it is not 25hp... It is a great motor and should be plenty power for the 2 scooter. I have around 8,000 miles on my trike with the same set up but a trike. Very good motor.

Mike is right on if that motor can haul MAGGOS big nose around over 60mph with the Trike which weighs a lot more than the 2 wheeler the 2 wheeler should move out smartly. Alleyoop

Thanks guys for your input. It would be nice to speak with someone who actually owns one. I do like the look of it and I sure like how easy it is to get to the CVT.

I don't think anybody here has one. It's not a widely owned scooter for some reason, I'm not sure why, it's very cool looking. That would make a person a little suspicious right there but it is an Icebear and they're well built. PM or e-mail Rapid Jim and see what he thinks about them. He doesn't sell scooters but he knows Icebear inside and out. He's a good guy and will give you an honest opinion. Rich
