Does it change the "put-put"? Is it quieter? Etc.

No it does not PUT-PUT sounds more like a hot rod a HEMI(HAHA). You can make it quieter by putting in less DISCs I have 8 discs on it now and it is not that loud. It is not as quiet like the stock mufflers which have a lot of restricted baffles in but it is not bad. Actually you do want a little noise so the cars can hear that something is near them.
