there is not too many countries that can say they didnt take the land they currently call their country. though they took israel, that was the crusaders bad. i kind of feel for the newer generations of kids and people who are born being told that its their land and have to live through constant battle over land.

Interesting as I lived between the Ute Mountain Utes and the Southern Utes. Both are doing quite well. Both are currently prosperous and running businesses and casinos. Considering there is no going back they have adapted quite well. I have worked with native Americans for more than 30 years, as a coworker not a sociologist or agent, and have had good times with them. None were so angry as some seem to be. One I have known for the longest is a Navajo and when he retires he wants to return to the Navajo Nation and retire to a small plot of land in the mountains and have a Hogan. He said he already has the land allocated to him by the council. Sounds like a good deal to me.

If you read some history of Israel, and maybe the link about Palestine that I posted, you will find that much of the history of those many years ago are pretty murky. I don't think there is any way to properly reconstruct those days of several thousand years ago. What has been agreed to many times in the years from the charter of the nation of Israel is for a compatible two nation solution. Ask Norway, twice, and how many times for the US, to have agreements to this until the times come to agree on paper. Then we always see the Palestinians to walk away from the handshake with the Jewish leadership. It is not just the Jewish that are the problem.

I will walk away now as someone in such a state of anger can never give another a fair listen.

If you are talking about the 1967 6 day war they were defending Israel against a series of attacks the Arab nations started.

Fortunately I will be long gone before either of those events have happened.

The US does not need more oil from the middle east, we have plenty of discoveries but our environut government won't allow us to use our own at any where near capacity available. We can not even build sufficient refineries to provide processed oil products and the current EPA is shutting down some we have. We have a crazy government in charge.

Canada and Mexico are both big providers of oil for the US but somehow we can not use our own pool of oil and we live right between the two countries.

Not much different than the us government you seem to despise.
They also migrated here from Mongolia and drove the Peoples already here to extinction.

The thinking is, when everyone runs out of oil to run all their machinery and make products the U.S will have the resources. That is why the U.S is hoarding it in massive shell deposits underground.

Also I have a theory about global warming and that is as the world depletes the OIL underground WHICH OBSORBES the heat from the earths core the temp on the surface gets warmer. You heard it here first .
