Hello, Just wondering, do you guys still suggest replacing the belt on a new scooter? I know some folks suggest you do and some say it is not necessary. Also, been thinking of getting a trike next year. Starting research now. Any opinions on the Ice Bear Trikes? I think they are nice, just got a few mixed reviews while searching online. Love to hear from Ice Bear Trike owners especially. Thank You! Attachments:

The reason they say to change the belt is a lot of them come with cheap belts that may tear up on you IF you do not periodically check out your cvt and or clean it out.
Love the Ice bear trikes I have had mine over 4 years now I have it all modded to heck, Runs like a scalped ape. Depending on the area's speed limits that your going to be riding around in will determine what size TRIKE you will need. Alleyoop

I never change out my belts on a new scooter. If you get a Znen or CF Moto they're great belts to begin with. The really cheap-o belts don't show up so much anymore. I'd just keep an eyeball on your belt, check it every 500 miles. If you loose a few mms in width change it. If you start to lose top end it might be your belt as it doesn't push up on the pullies as far when you lose width. Cheap belts wear quicker.

Both my Ice bear trikes came with gates belts installed, and they still have the original belts on them.

I have the 300 Zodiac Only had it a few weeks, but love it so far. haven't changed the belt The love hate is generally people who ride a Japanese and hate Chinese, and the love are people that have a Chinese and love the price they paid for it, and that it serves their purpose.
My need was to be able to ride, have an automatic trans, and not have to balance it.
Honda and Harley have nice trikes, but they cost. ($25K - $35K) This costs $4K, and meets my needs exactly.

If you get one of these little trikes, don't expect to much out of it though. They are a little slower than there two wheel counter parts. But with the proper set up they are a joy to ride. Roy

HAHAHA! cum on rolly, one cost only $105 but it won't stall you in the middle of the road. and that's what we all are avoiding right. i'll put big money on a high quality belt because it's the most drastically moving part of the scooter. it's too harsh inside the CVT assembly doncha know?
no, i haven't been inside...yet! LOL
