Ok thanks. . Sounds like rings r my issue.. I am low on compression... my scooter does not perform up to par... I am thinkin about going with big bore kit while I am in it... so thanks for info

Rabbit Trail.
As the manual mentioned on page 19 of the thread, compression ratio is 10:1. I read the octane post the other day, does that mean the linhai needs higher than 87 for optimum performance? Anyone have the compression ratio for the helix?

I have always 93 octane since new....have over 10,000 miles on my scoot....

Gave it a try with 87 the other day... did not run well. It hasnt been running well for a bit, really rich, but this definitely made it worse. Here in Utah the fueling stations only offer 85, 87, 89, and 91. I wouldnt have gone for 85, but might try a small amount of 89 to see what it does sometime; will probably stick with 91 from now on though. Boris
