I am in Pennsylvania. I have been ridding my 300cc trike in all weather and temperatures. I am having alot of fun. People think I am crazy but I even had my bike up on interstate 83 several times for 20+ mile rides in the cold and rain. I have been able to get my Magnum up in the 75mph neighborhood and just go to the truck lane on real steep hills. I have gotten some compliments and some respect from the local "Steak and Rice" riders. LOL. That would be Harley and Japanese bikers that have already started to put them away for the season. The Harley guys are still riding more though. I want to see how my trike handles the snow. Should be fun . I had a Ural patrol that was good in it when it wasn't broke down. I wear an Eagles scarf my wife made for me as I have an open-faced helmet. What about the rest of you guys? Anybody else will'n to brave the elements with their trike or scooter. Even cold rain was not that bad with preperation. ;D

Used to ride year round in Michigan because it was the only wheels I had. So instead of buying a car, I moved to Hawaii.

too much humidity can cause upper respiratory ailments because the moisture content in the air serves as the vector and a growth media for aerobic bacteria and virus,, no wonder most of the winter visitors from florida always test posiive on flu virus.

I'll ride until I see Twenty-anything on my thermometer, when the locals start spreading salt on the roads or when snow covers the driveway. That's my sign to park it.

My scoot is my only transportation at the moment so I have to ride. Most of my riding is within 3 miles. I will try to avoid the ice and snow. I did ride in a rain-mist mix a couple weeks ago. I am retired so I can pick my days to go places except for the damn doctor....
I have one of those old football coach coats that snaps in front, a full face helmet, and a pair of Harbor Freight all weather mechanic gloves. My feet seem to do okay because they are out of the wind. I could not feel it if they were freezing anyway, same with my hands. Diabetes and circulatory problems used to result in a lot of pain from the cold but neuropathy has stopped that pain.

And yet: "Low humidity is one of the reasons people stay sick during the winter months. This is because your body naturally filters the air you breathe by way of mucus membranes. Mucus membranes are located in your throat and nasal passages. When these membranes become dry they lose their elasticity and crack. Once cracked they bleed giving a direct path for germs and bacteria to enter your bloodstream. The result is illness within a few days. Furthermore, low humidity provides the perfect breeding ground for germs and bacteria within your home, making the chances of becoming infected that much greater." Just thought I would add to the "what the hell does this have to do with the topic"

Used to be some semi-snow tires around. Scooter tires are way wrong in shape to get a good grip in snow no matter what the tread style is. Short and fat tends to slide sideways easy on snow, tall and skinny gets some grip if you have a rough tread.
