Yes for sure call Jim on the decking. I would clean as much of that oil I could in the axle housings and all and out of the hubs and off the axles and wheel spline or your going to have a real mess later. Please let us know how much oil you get when you drain it. As I said this has happen before, I had oil dripping all over the truck when I took mine to AR last summer and it was still dripping when Lee and I changed it out.
Sure hope Al is right and that is all you have to do.

IDM, are you sure you are not over filling the gear box. You have the same as I have on my Magnum and it only takes about 6 oz Max of gear oil or it will run out the bearings were the axle spline slides in. If that is the case on yours it would run out like that, I did that once and had oil every were. Just a thought...

Yo Iron.... I thought the compellor had a different rear that the Magnum, but if the rear takes gear oil and the reverse is on the top it is most likely the the top gear. Best thing to do is have Jim order replacement gears for you be sure to get the gaskets also. I checked my first gear box and all the bearings were OK. The bad gears were the top 3 gears and the rear sprocket spline shaft was damaged were the sprocket rides, if yours is get a new shaft also or have it weld and grind. Bearings if needed can be got from local parts stores. I have not rebuilt my spare yet but looked into it and can see how the shifter gear did all the damage. I have a new set of gears from IB that are supposed to be harder than the old. I will rebuild it and install it when I can figure a better way to align and lock the rear axles section and use a chain tension-er. I think the old set up just moves too much.

Silly Rabbit... You couldn't handle a 300 and your right a cotton tail would look like heck on one. I like the idea, that is after all the problems I have with my rear on my Magnum, of the straight axle and the frame changes and motor mounts. Sure wish they would offer a good deal for a rear change to us with the older models
Magoo - I want that axle for mine and I want it NOW-WW....,

Synthetic oil in my Magnum 300 did the same thing. I changed it back to Valvoline 20-40 and have never had a problem. I do use the gear oil and it is ok in the trransmission.

Ouch!!! Wow John... Were you off road riding or what? Maybe just a bad weld... I myself do not know anyone that has changed the exhaust yet. Can you call one of these local shops and see if they can get you a new head pipe and will the old muffler still slide into the pipe? Not sure how it is broke or were it broke
