Welcome back Lee....John was over my place the other day but the Magnum was down as the fuel filter blocked out and I had to change it. I thought I hyad 8,000 miles on her but the 8 is a 3 but put her over 4,000 miles today went to Hudson to visit John one of our ner members. I got more miles on the Honda than on the Trike

If you do not want to tear all the skin off the Magnum you can drain the tank down just from the fuel line off the vacuum pump, about 1 gallon of gas will come out if near full. Pop the fuel line at the 2 hold downs on the rear of the tank use surgical clamp, mine is about 14 inches long and pull the hose and filter thru the gas fill opening. You will have to push and guide the filter as the frame will catch it. The short line on the tank will allow you to replace the filter and install a better big filter. The fuel line used on the trike looked good so I left the short section. you can not get to the short line without a lot of tear down but I replaced the run from the filter to the pump. I ran about a cup of gas thur the filter and line befor hooking to pump, than ran about the same thru the pump, wow was I glade I did that. Hope this helps someone....FYI

Ger....Hang in there buddy. Most do not know but I have had 5 hart attachs and 2 strokes, I have been only out of the hospital for 2 weeks now from the last stroke. Thing get better but you have to take it easy. I have other problems that keep me off my feet, can't stand much or walk much but after this last stroke and the help of the man above my pain level is far less than it has been in years and I can speak and find words much better. I started riding the trike here in the retirement park and local 3 days out of the hospital. Now I am back on the HOnda and yesterday went 34 miles each way to the VA Hospital to see the doctors....
We are no longer super and have to understand our bodies when we were younger and just have to accept that. Wikth that said.....What I do everyday is what I want and feel like doing, Al has talked to me in the past few days and can tell you I sound much better than the past year or so. If you lay and stay down more than a couple days...Well me any ways, I would nerver be able to walk again.
Get better my friend, we have missed ya here....

OK... John I sent you a PM and contact number so you can come and look at the Silver Bullet...This Magnum has many changes on it and walkes and talks, can do 55mph all day with 2 people but she has 255/50 on the rear and has been raised 3/4of an inch on the rear deck with a rack for hauling what ever with lights over the rear finder for safety. Sounds like you could do the same to one and you have tools

I have been riding the Honda a little, am taking it to the VA in the morning about 36 miles each way. OK...I did get out and fixed the Magnum today. I cleaned the key, sprayed and put the air hose to it nothing. TThan I took and iunplugged the two connectors from the switch and put a good light on the connetors and and seen the4 problem. Sprayed the connectors out cleand and dried and turned the key POWER....Yeah BABY she is back onb line. I tied the connetors in a bundle and and slipped a plastic bag over them as flashing if it get in the rain again.

Hey thanks Ed... I had talked to Al and called Jim today for advise too. Here is the scoop, I followed the power to the switch and bindo...Power to the red and green to the switch. I set my meter direct to the out leads of the switch and no power. Soooo, Jim you and AL and I and Ed you too, were right...the water did cause a problem and it is in the key switch. I will be using WD40 and air on it in the morning if I am up to it and things I hope will be back to the norm. It was a hard side rain as the wind was strong for almost 3 hours...
I'll keep ya all posted when I get around to doing it, ya know the way the key sets indented as it is I didn't expect it to be the key...
Thanks Mike

Roy was looking at mine the other day looks like you can change it from the bottom just pulling the fan out, at worst take that locer black section off. I know my fan only comes on when it is really hot about 70% on the gauge than only for a minute
