I've had the analog version of this tachometer on my scooter and it worked perfectly. It isn't adjustable with regards to # of cylinders or sparks per revolution, though. It is stuck at 1 spark per revolution; which is what gy6's have. Now that Tach is High Zooot for sure. At $11.69 dmm nice.

In addition to the inaccurate Analog, Ive install one of those inexpensive Digital LCD Tach/Hour meters.

Id like to see the Crank on a truing stand with Duel Dial Indictors showing it is within runout specifications. A mock build of the top end (piston without rings) showing if the piston is down in the whole or out of the whole or Zero deck. Then a measurement can betaken to have a spacer made. I can steer you to a vendor to have a water jet spacer made. I'm surprised these vendors/mfg's just don't supply the custom piston to work as drop in with the Stroker.

he used to run mobil 1,,,till i turned him to the dark side ,,,royal purple,,,with a 4 oz shot of lucas oil stabilizer,,,with this combination we saw a 60-70 cooler peak operating temp,,,with back to back runs,,,it really did make a noticable difference,,,you could feel it,,,,man that thing had grunt,,,with a capitol G Royal Purple out of the great State of Texas. I recommended to a couple ATV Hot Rod builders I had in Texas, were having Clutch, Gear, Heat issues with a Valvoline Dino oil, gone with the purple. I enjoy there Gear oil in the final drive of the Scoot and also the Diff. of the Street/Strip Silverado. Also enjoy there Trans. oil in the Silverado's PATC Raptor 700-R4. Wish I did temp. comparison on the Diff, surprising how hot they run. Kinda stuck on the Maxima for the CBR1K. Next change for the Silverado gets Maxima, will do temp comparisons this time. I see you use the Lucas regular, Good Results??

I'm sure it's just the detergent action of the seafoam that dislodged a bunch of crud out of Guitars engine,,,He got it used with medium miles but it suffered a bit of neglect,,i can remember guys using kerosene in engines,,,they'd drop out a quart of the old and top the engine up with kero,,,run it for a bit and you wouldn't believe what came out of the drain,,,rare nowadays to have that kind of buildup,,,we took the cam cover off of my buddies gxr1000 to check the valves,,,,50,000 miles,,,one exhaust valve was out .001,,,it looked as new inside,,,there was virtually no wear ,,you can still see thru the oil i drop out of my bikes during a change,,,and in the filter wells,,they look as new,,not even any varnishing around galley ports,,,nothing,,modern engines run super clean,, What Brand of oil in your Buddy's Gixer?

I don't believe in mechanic in a can, but I will tell you I firmly believe in Seafoam, have been using it since 1992 and the stuff works great. I have written and responded to many post over the years about seafoam. Great stuff, esp as a preventive maintenance to keep your small jets clean. I don't beleive in Mechanic in a can either, just pun fun. With the 150 not having a oil filter I don't think i'll use it in my engine oil. Just my Non Ethanol Gas can that fuels my scoot.

Actually enjoyed the Trash Talk. I'll keep squish clearance short and sweet. It is the distance with gasket in place (torqued) from the top of the piston to the combustion chamber. maybe skip that for now and when you get it back together do a accurate PSI Compression test for us. Good luck!

I don't think we're in carrillo or pankle rod territory here Diver,,,i doubt it if the rod is even shotpeened or fluxed ,,,i may be wrong,,,and i take it back,,,after thought a custom head gasket from cometic would fit the bill,,,i've used them on my last 10-12 builds,,,,never had a failure,,,,ever Agreed. Thats why I said "A Good Rod" he maybe Ghost hitting the head at RPM.

geez what kind of compression we talking about here?? 13-14 to 1 ?,,,with a two valver?? a hemi,,,no wonder youre having problems,,it's got to be the hi torque starter shearing it when you get on compression,,,boy a decomp release would be ducky right about now,,,,it would be nice if the compression was knocked down a bit,,,divers thicker base gasket would help huge,,,also i think you'd have serious fuel sensitivity issues as the hot weather gets here,,,if you don't have it already I wasn't going in this direction but now I'm second guessing myself. Wonder what the Squish clearance is? With heating issues using 112, timing? or just need to move on to a Alky Carb and fuel?. Gasoline is for washing parts (just a joke). Can you give us the Compression Test (PSI) numbers? Mentioned the piston is at "Zero Deck" I'm not big in running the Piston down the hole, a thicker head gasket could be used instead of a thicker base gasket. Cometic can custom (cheap) any thickness you want. Is the Combustion Chamber the same Size as the Bore? With a good Rod you need a minimum of .039 or 1mm Squish clearance.
