some thing else you can try is to tap the crank side to side with the case together to seat the bearings into the case halves so they are not bounded up

if it is too tight then check to see if the bearings are pressed all the way on the crank and check if there is anything the crank is hitting on i would put the crank in one half of the case and rotate it to see it clears ok and then do the other side as well

pull it back apart dry fit the case together without the crank in it and measure the space between the main bearings and measure the space from outer edge of the crank bearings the case should be just a little bite bigger than the crank or it will pinch the bearings tight

run the NGK iridium plug with a higher output ciol will give you alot better running motor and they last longer too

Alley: I order the crank on Friday and if that does not get it I am gonna try something else. I had been looking at the project the wrong way for quite some time and I have not been able to complete for one major reason. Although I approached it as though I were going to finish, I never put it totally back together as if it were finished. Meaning that meany times I left the job half complete because I expected problems. As a Masters Psychologist candidate, I should have known better. It is often times easy to counsel others on their issues than to look at ones own. I am having the crank shipped overnight from Walter Friday and first thing Monday morning it will be at the machine shop being worked on. The who runs it is a friend of a friend and says he is not booked up so he will be able to get it it that day or the next day. Right now I have a 63mm BBk and I am going back with a 4mm crank. I have sen gear kits like at scooter elements which I believe is 13/43. Since I have to get a gear pulled I figured I may as well get them to put a gear pressed on. Also what are your thoughts on the Mikuni High Flow Vacuum Fuel Pump? that tells me alot about you not meaning anything bad but most Psychologist are not mechanical inclined so please let us know what you are doing and what you need help with we are here to help and after you get taht masters degree i can send you my ex she would make a great case study for you |
