Me too, richardv ! I appreciate the attention and thought to it When it first happened, I thought the same thing immediately, I thought "How can my cores be bad?! Both are brand new!" Then, I remembered the beads, as one shot out at me, lol! I pulled the cores and found one stuck in each.

Nice! Hey, I didn't go back And read what you said about the sensor (Am about to hop into the bath) but have you tried just putting a coat hangar or something down in the tank to free up the float lever? They get hung up. Mine does, then frees up when it wants to. Alleyoop had a post about it.

Sorry. I don't find anything with a few searches with that info. The body style # from the I.D. plates may help more. For example, mine is a YY150T-2 body type. There may be a plate by your fan shroud, under the seat, etc.

Welcome, kyleb ! What a CUTIE that is! I'd say that if you don't expect much more than an around town scoot, it's a keeper. You can find plenty of peeps that will be quick to hate on Chinese bikes but, taking good care of them seems to be key. Isn't just about anything that way, though? So, they're not all metal like some scooters, and they aren't status symbols. Some of us aren't bothered by that , at ALL. I wouldn't haul more than yourself mostly and maybe the other lil cutie you've posted there, once in a while, though. The info that rks posted will be invaluable to you for finding parts that work with your scoot. Get the MODEL number from a plate mounted somewhere on it for searching parts too. For example , mine is a YY150T-2 body style with a 157QMJ GY6 engine . Parts are cheap for our bikes, and available on Ebay, Amazon, individual scooter shops etc; We probably have the manual for yours in the forum. They tend to be generic at times but, invaluable I have a 2008 150cc Jonway with 6500 miles that runs great. I did about a 60% restoration to it but didn't have to rebuild the engine and I'm very happy with it. It's not the "Cute nostalgic style" like yours but a touring model . LOL! rks "didn't want to look like John Wayne sitting on a pony, when riding the scooter. "

Good idear, rks . I had forgotten also, to position the tire so the valve was above the 3 or 9 o'clock position to clear the beads.

GREAT! I dunno pazuzu , a clogged fuel filter definitely could have been a problem at WOT. Letting the bike sit or "cool" actually could give the blockage time to fall away from the "In" side of the filter, long enough to start up again at idle or low speed. I hope that's the case. I empathize with you on adjusting the valves. I triple checked mine, bent over , upside down , through the small access panel under my seat compartment. I'm sure ya could use an epsom salt soak after that, at ANY age ! Keep us posted

Good, it will be great to know another scoot made it back to the streets I've ordered from that seller before (I'm in SoCal myself)and I think I remember them to have been expedient and legit. And yes, I am very frustrated by the sneakiness of the china sellers, quite often. It took a while for me to realize that they have New Jersey, Brooklyn NY , Ontario Ca, etc; addresses that they use yet still ship the item from China, taking weeks to arrive. I now go by the estimated ship dates first, then price, for the same item. It would be helpful for Ebay to allow a search to be sorted by shipping times. I've noticed China starting to use this tactic on Amazon too, lately .

Haha! I know. Was just kidding around with Cyborg's "Girly girl"comment. No offense taken, all fun. Funny thing is, as I look at the post, my leather jacket with the pink chest stripe isn't even posted anywhere here, lol! Just having some fun I love to see guys sportin' colors, too! Yay for you!

richardv , they actually sell special "Screened" valve stem cores for the use of beads. Mine are just regular type. The beads are so tiny that they can sometimes work there way into the core and wedge them into an open position. I have read of a few people experiencing it with the use of beads

You're welcome ucwt . One of my brake pads is still dragging a bit so, I couldn't attest really to resistance at this point. But, they are not knobby at all. There are a few variations of the glass balancing bead products such as, "Dyna-beads", "Counteract". They dynamically balance the tires without the need for external weights. The counteract beads, according to the reviews I'd read, leave less "Dust" inside the tire from minute rubber friction . I do recommend them . Make sure to find and use the chart thats out there for the proper amount for your tires. If I remember correctly, it was 1- 1 1/2 oz for a motorcycle tire. So, the 6 oz package in this listing is MORE than enough for a bike. When you replace your tires, just drop the proper amount in a very small baggy into the tire and it will burst by centrifugal force when you ride them. Also, special schrader valves are sold to prevent the bead interfering with the valve stem problem I've had. I need to get some, for sure. Beads at a great priceCounterAct info site

I put the Pirelli SL 26's on my Jonway 150. I'm really liking them. They are really sticky. A few of the fellas here helped with their opinions when I was deciding. I used Counteract balancing beads in them and they've worked really well. A minor thing happened with them, a bead tends to get in the valve stem here and there holding the airway open so, when i take the valve stem cap off, sometimes the tire deflates. So, I have to be careful not to check my air pressure unless I have access to air wherever I may be. But, I do reccomend the balancing beads. They can be used over and over . I got mine repackaged from an Ebay seller, cheaply.
