I have a Gates Powerlink 856-23 and I can not turn it inside out or bend it easily. What belt did you receive?

I don't believe that Alley was slamming anyone. He just had an opinion of the trike with the dual wheels in front. All opinions are welcome or at least for me they are....

I have not tried these particular belts, but the price is right. With free shipping...not bad. Only trying the belt will tell the tale. Maybe someone has used this belt and will give a report back.

Did the clutch nut come loose or it looks like the hole is enlarged from being loose. Maybe a trick pic and can not tell for sure. Was just curious. Thanks...

Welcome..... Alleyoop is correct...either the battery is shorted internally or has a dead cell. If it is the original battery and over 5 yrs old it is in need of replacement....Enjoy Your Ride....

All an engine is an air pump..intake-compression-power-exhaust...called a four stroke. In the aircraft industry, you use a differential compression tester. A two gauge tester, one gauge is for supply, 80 psi into the cylinder and the other gauge is what the cylinder is holding. Anything under 70 psi is reason to pull a cylinder. The piston is placed at TDC (Top Dead Center) on compression stroke and the air enters the cylinder and the prop should not move. When done correctly you can hear the air excaping and where it is. In the exhaust it is the exhaust valve...intake the intake valve. In the engine case (crank case) it is the rings. Kinda different from the direct engine start procedure, but you get the idea. Just remove plug and install tester and windmill the engine for the reading.

That is the only way I know of....warm or cold....what reading did you get? Since you had compression at the shop, I don't think that is your prob. Not sure about the rpm....that is a first for me. I am a Licensed A&P tech and have yrs of experience with internal combustion engines. The ones that leave the ground, where you can not pull off on the shoulder. Keep working on it and you will get it back in shape. Enjoy the ride....

You need at least 13 volts going to the battery to keep it charged. The rectifier/regulator may need to be replaced. I replaced my R/R a few months ago and it charges at 13.1 at cruise on the hiway. Not sure about your scoot, where this is located.

The drive belt may work on a no load situation, but not on the ground with a load. You may have the wrong belt...my scoot takes the 856-23 belt. My belt has over 10,000 miles on it and it the original one. Purchase a new belt. Life is Good....My scoot is the 257cc Linhai or 260cc like your scoot.
