Not sure why you do not believe that a Roketa could get 10,000 miles. This one has. They do not sell the Linhai 257cc scooter now, it could not pass EPA testing. My 2008 is one model year that had the Linhai (Yamaha clone) They use the Honda clone engine now. Enjoy Your Ride....

Welcome..my scoot is a 2008 Roketa MC54B-250 (257) with the Linhai clone. I installed HID's, 5000k, H4 and LED's in the stop and turn. I installed a volt meter and it shows 13.1 going down the hiway at 60 mph. It keeps the battery charged and no problems. Life is Good....

Sorry to hear about your problem...I installed HID's almost 2 yrs ago and have not had any problems with my install. I used the Bi-Xenon 5000k, 35 watt system. Not sure, but are you sure it is a 35 watt, it could be a 55 watt. My lens do not get hot to the touch. Keep us informed. Thanks...

Welcome...Have you changed out the fliuds or did a dealer do a PDI. The fluids need to be changed to american made stuff, coolant, brake fluid, oil, drive train fluid 85w90 gear lube. Let us know we can help with the partculars. I see you have made 12 posts or did I miss the beginning of the thread. Enjoy your ride....

The CDI either works or it does not. Not sure what the red line on your scoot is but 8500 is pretty tight. The engine seems to be pulling up to the rpm that you say it does, so it should move. My scoot takes the 856-23 belt also, and it has nearly 10 thousand miles on it. It is the original belt and same variator and clutch. When the scoot is on the center stand, does the rear wheel seem to be going super fast, at the rpm you say it runs up to. Just be careful and not have the scoot fall off of the stand and kill someone. Have you checked the gear lube in the transmission and make sure it is full. The belt should move up and down with rpm change.

It seems as if you may have an internally shorted ignition switch...Key in or out seems to make a change in the scoot....just a thought...

When you install the new wheel...make sure you use blue loctite on the nut...or it will come loose and destroy your new wheel. Everytime you think about the nut...check it...move the wheel side to side..on the center stand....if it is loose tighten it. Enjoy the ride...
