Check your valves.....they may not be closing. Even a wore out engine will have some compression, with the valves closed on compresession stroke. You have intake....compression...power.....and exhaust, with no compression it will not run.

It seems as if your R/R is not working properly. I just installed a new 6 wire R/R on my 54B scoot and it reads 13.4 going down the road at 5000 rpm. It holds that even at idle. I have HID's installed also. LED's on the rear...stop and turn. Life is Good....

I installed 35w..5000k...H4...9003 Hi/Lo Bi-Xenon with relay over two years ago and love them. Purchased off Ebay. Led's for the rear for turn and stop. Pretty much plug and play. There are tutorials on the scoot web sites that show how to install the HID's. Life is good....

Looks like your variator is loose and rubbing...need to check the nut...use an impact to loosen and then retighten the nut....I used air but electric will work just fine....

Make sure you get a kit that has a relay with it. My kit cost about $65.00 and it had the relay..two bulbs....two ballast...some of the kits do not have the relay...on Ebay search for Xenon and it must be a Hi/Lo system for your scoot.....not a difficult mod...I go to work in the early morning hours and the HID's help with the critters...enjoy your ride...

I installed my HID system almost 2yrs ago and this is what I used. I chose the 5000k H4 9003 bulb base. It is a Bi-Xenon Hi/Lo 35 w system. I purchased mine on Ebay and have loved the great light that it gives. One of the forums has a pictorial of how to install the HID system. You will have to purchase a 3 prong plug from one of the autoparts stores to hookup your system. The front of the scoot must be removed to get to the headlights and install the HID's.

The radiator cap can be found next to the battery under the plastic cover. The white plastic tank next to the gas cap is the overflow tank and it should be full. Add coolant where the radiator cap is.

You said that the valves have been adjusted..... .004 intake and .006 exhaust... the enricher may not be adding enough fuel to keep the engine running when cold....you should check the enricher.. when cold the enrichers plunger is retracted and when warmed up it is extended to shut off the fuel for idle....I installed a manual choke system on my scoot and did away with the enricher all together...works great......should idle around 1800 to 2000 rpms..enjoy the ride....
